Hey! My name is Melanie. I am the Assistant Center Director and I’ve worked at Mathnasium for almost 3 years! I will be attending UW-Milwaukee this fall and will major in actuarial science. My future career goals are to become a certified actuary and enlist in the Wisconsin army national guard. I’ve always loved helping others, especially when it comes to learning. I believe it is important for our students to understand what they are doing, rather than just getting to the right answer. My mom is a teacher and over the years I’ve learned a lot from her and my own teachers at school on how to help kids. I’m very passionate about music. I sing, play a lot of instruments, and beatbox. I also love puzzles and Legos. Some things I love about working at mathnasium is getting to know the kids and watching them grow over time. It’s wonderful to see their confidence and math skills progress.
