Q: What things do you learn about a student when they take a comprehensive assessment?
A: The comprehensive assessment helps us pinpoint where a student's foundation in math begins, so that we may build from the skills they already have!
Q: What is a customized learning plan?
A: A customized learning plan is like a game plan of all the skills we need to work on with each individual student to help them truly understand their math, while building their confidence, as well.
Q: How do you gauge progress?
A: At the end of each topic, there is something called a mastery check. A student will complete a mastery check all by themselves to show us that they have truly mastered that concept. Then, in order to make sure that a student is retaining the concepts they have already mastered, we also give them a progress check every 2-3 months.
