Megan is the Owner at Mathnasium of Peoria. Prior to opening his Mathnasium center, Megan worked as a Realtor, business Manager, and tutor. She has her Bachelors of Science in History and Political Science, and Sociology and Psychology from Eureka College where she was a Reagan Fellow. While Megan has traveled across the globe working in a variety of different specialties, she has always had a passion for teaching and working with children. She feels nothing is more rewarding than seeing the sparkle in a child's eye when they finally understand something they had been previously struggling with. Her favorite shape is a triangle.
Joy Voorhees is the Center Director at Mathnasium of Peoria, IL. She has her Associates degree in American Sign language from Illinois Central College. She has worked at the center since January 2022. Prior to becoming Center Director she worked for 6 years in a public school working as an teacher's aide in a special education classroom. Throughout her adult life she has worked in a variety of careers centered around children. Joy has always had a passion for teaching children and figuring out how each child thinks. Joy enjoys bowling, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and karaoke. She is currently in the process of completing her Secondary Mathematics Education Degree at Western Governor's University.
Miss Madeline is a Middle School Mathematics Teacher. One of her favorite parts about teaching and tutoring is watching students get to that "ah-ha" moment when they finally understand a topic that they have been working on. She enjoys traveling, watching soccer amongst other television shows, and spending time with family and friends. She is currently teaching in a middle school in the Pekin School district. Miss Madeline is the oldest of two, with a younger sister and has pet rabbit named Lily that occupies her free time.
