Nick K.
Regional Director
Nick is currently enrolled in the teaching credential program at California State University, Long Beach with aspirations to teach 5th, 11th, or 12th grade. He has been tutoring students in math since 2021, working with learners from grades 1 through 11.
Nick also spent eight years as an after-school skateboarding instructor, giving him extensive experience working with kids of all ages. He enjoys making math approachable and fun, and in his free time, he likes going to concerts and spending time with friends.
Adrian
Center Director
Adrian holds both a BS and MS in Pure Mathematics from Cal Poly Pomona. He enjoys learning and teaching math, and his curiosity extends far beyond the classroom; he’s especially fascinated by history, with a focus on the migration period.
Outside of Mathnasium, Adrian spends his time surfing, lifting weights, reading, and playing video games. A lifelong Southern Californian, he hopes to one day move to the Pacific Northwest, where he can enjoy cooler weather and rainy days.

Assistant Center Director
Joey graduated from UCSB with a degree in Aquatic Biology and is passionate about supporting students and his local community in San Pedro. He volunteers with organizations like AltaSea and works as an Educational Aide at Dana Middle School.
At Mathnasium, Joey combines his love for math and mentorship to help students grow in confidence. When he’s not teaching, he enjoys photography, weightlifting, playing piano, and experimenting in the kitchen.

Instructor
Michael recently moved from South Carolina to California and is beginning his studies in Computer Science and Engineering at UC Irvine. He has a strong interest in STEM, enjoys problem-solving, and is excited to bring his energy to Mathnasium.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys going to the gym, practicing taekwondo, and trying new outdoor activities. He’s looking forward to meeting new people and making California his home.
