Mathnasium was proud to sponsor and participate in the 4th Annual STEAM Festival at Canyon View Elementary School on January 31! This community event celebrated science, technology, engineering, art and math by giving students and families the chance to explore how STEAM connects to everyday life. As part of the festival our team visited the school and hosted an interactive booth featuring fun, hands-on math tabletop games. The purpose of participating in events like this is to spread awareness that math can be engaging, social and enjoyable. Students of all ages were able to build confidence and experience math in a fun, positive way. Students and families enthusiastically participated in games such as a Mathnasium-style Giant Jenga played with dice, Countdown using multiple math operations, Multiplication in a Row, Addition 4 in a Row and Race to Ace. We are grateful to the Canyon View Elementary School for hosting such an inspiring event and for allowing us to help bring STEAM to life while encouraging students to see math as something exciting and accessible.
