Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Karina Barrera

Center Director

My name is Karina, and I was raised in Redwood City, where I completed my elementary, middle, and high school education. I later attended the College of San Mateo before transferring to CSU East Bay, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing. From the start of my career, I have been driven by a passion for sales. When I discovered the opportunity at Mathnasium, I recognized it as the perfect chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families. I understand that math can be a challenging subject for many, and my role allows me to contribute to changing that experience for students and their families.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
