Who runs the show at Mathnasium of Seal Beach? Meet Vicki Tang

Say hello to Vicki Tang, your local Center Director for Mathnasium of Seal Beach!

So, Vicki Tang, What is your favorite thing to do in the city where your center is located? A: Visiting Main Street, and going to the beach to either walk, play football, or relax with a good book.

What is your favorite Mathnasium success story? A: Recently, we worked with a student in 11th grade in their Algebra 2/Trig class. He was below grade level and didn't have fundamentals of Algebra. He managed to raise his grade from failing to ending the year with a B, during which we also prepped him for the SAT. He did all this while navigating the stress & uncertainty of COVID, and during 12th grade & Precalculus he managed to earn his way to an A. The university he was aiming for still required the SAT, so from helping him prep as well as raise his grades and his fundamental understanding of math, he was able to get into the college of his dreams, where he is currently at now.

This is just one of the many success stories we've seen in our center since we've opened back in 2019.

Where’s your favorite place to eat? A: My favorite place to eat is The Crema Cafe, which I go for breakfast or brunch.

What’s your favorite kind of math? A: My favorite type of math is probably Algebra 2 & Calculus (all levels).

What do you like the most about the Mathnasium Method? A: My favorite thing about the Mathnasium Method is that we put an emphasis on making the learning fun.
