Here at Mathnasium of Simi Hills, we make it our mission to instill a love of math in ALL students. Our FREE initial assessment and personalized learning plan tailor instruction directly to your child. (Whaaat?!) That’s right! As they get to know each student, our highly skilled math tutors will tailor their methods for a more personalized approach. This means more confidence, a higher level of understanding, and - most importantly - more smiles during math time.

Why is Mathnasium a math-only center?
Because we feel that our curriculum is so solid, we prefer to stick to what we’re good at! In other words, we would rather be experts in math than mediocre tutors in all subjects. At Mathnasium, you can trust that your child is receiving quality math tutoring.
What if my child is struggling to read and write, though?
Through math instruction, we also provide support with reading and writing. Students are encouraged to read word problems and directions out loud to improve fluency, and our pencil-and-paper approach allows students to practice writing numbers and letters directly on the page.

How will I know if my student is progressing?
Communication is very important to us here at Mathnasium. After each session, you will receive a ‘session summary’ via email. Our math tutors write a short narrative following each session detailing what the student worked on/achieved and what they will continue to review next time.
What should my child bring to sessions?
One thing about us? We provide everything: curriculum, manipulatives, pencils, erasers, scratch paper, you name it! We even have a personalized binder for each student which includes their personalized learning plan, practice pages, and even challenge pages.
Does Mathnasium of Simi Hills help with schoolwork/homework?
YES! If your child has schoolwork/homework, they are more than welcome to bring it and we will provide support as needed. *We also provide test prep.
Does Mathnasium of Simi Hills give additional homework?
NO! As our material is proprietary, we do not send work home. However, parents/guardians are more than welcome to pop in and view their student’s binder at any time.
My child is proficient in math, but wants to get ahead? Can Mathnasium still help?
YES! Not only do we offer support for struggling students, we are ALSO well-versed in challenging students who would like to get ahead.
