We support students who love math with personalized enrichment, with programs for high-achieving elementary learners to competition preparation and advanced topics that inspire curiosity and mathematical excellence.
Following personalized learning plans, we guide high-achieving elementary school students beyond grade-level material, building algebraic thinking, justification and reasoning, strategic problem-solving, and flexible number sense that lay the groundwork for long-term mathematical success.
We equip students for math competitions — including AMC, MathCounts, and Math Olympiad — through targeted training in advanced problem-solving strategies, pattern recognition, and creative thinking techniques that build the skills and confidence needed to excel in competitive settings.
Students in or preparing for honors and accelerated courses can receive targeted instruction that strengthens mastery of advanced topics, builds sophisticated problem-solving skills, and develops the academic confidence needed to thrive in rigorous coursework.
At Mathnasium of South Tampa, we welcome students in South Tampa who are performing at or above grade level and are ready for a greater challenge.
Our personalized math enrichment programs provide the structure and expert support students need, whether they want to explore new mathematical concepts, pursue accelerated coursework, or prepare for competitive exams and placement tests.
Powered by the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach, our math enrichment program is designed to build deep understanding, not just familiarity with advanced content.
We help students develop logical thinking, precision, and the ability to connect ideas across mathematical topics. All sessions are delivered through live, face-to-face instruction in a caring and engaging group environment, available both in-center and online.
Math enrichment at Mathnasium begins with a diagnostic assessment that helps us identify each student's current level, areas of strength, and learning goals. Using these insights, we build a personalized learning plan that challenges them appropriately and moves them forward with purpose.
From advanced algebra and geometry to number theory and competition strategies, every plan is built around what that student is ready for and where they want to go next.

Chris
Assistant Director
I am working on my primary education degree at Hillsborough Community College and then planning on finishing my degree at the University of South Florida. I formally worked for the Hillsborough County Public Schools in an after-school program, and this is where I decided to become a teacher. I enjoy working at Mathnasium because I love helping our students gain confidence in math and slowly start to like math. This summer I am the director of the Great Foundations program, working with our Pre-K and K students.
Stone
Lead Instructor
I am a junior at Tampa Prep, where I’m part of the STEM concentration as I prepare to pursue engineering in the future. I am currently taking AP Calculus BC. I’m also involved in several school organizations, including the Spanish Club, Asian Club, Speech and Debate, and the Humane Society Club, and I am a member of the National Junior Honor Society. Outside the classroom, I play varsity soccer on a state playoff team and compete in VEX Robotics. Each year, my team travels to Dallas for the World Championship, where we consistently place within the top 150 teams worldwide. In addition to competing, I volunteer with VEX IQ robotics at Title I schools, helping elementary students build engineering skills while having fun with hands-on competition. In my free time, I play soccer with Tampa Bay United, listen to music, and spend time with family and friends. I love working at Mathnasium because I get to watch students learn new concepts, gain confidence, and develop a genuine passion for math—and being part of that growth is incredibly rewarding.

We use these insights to create a personalized learning plan that provides the right level of challenge from day one, so students feel motivated and appropriately stretched from the very first session.
