What Sets Mathnasium of South Tampa Apart?

Jul 15, 2024 | South Tampa

Q: What makes Mathnasium different from other tutoring centers?

A:
Mathnasium is your South Tampa's neighborhood math-only learning center. For In-center appointments, students are not required to attend - just stop by when you need us! Each student has their own tailored curriculum that is taught by our engaging and qualified instructors.

Q: Why would you encourage parents to consider Mathnasium?

A:
Mathnasium of South Tampa teaches math in a way that students can understand. We meet children at their current ability level, and customize their learning plans as they progress. In addition to the Mathnasium curriculum, we also offer homework and test prep help. To motivate our students, we use a reward system where they can earn points to shop in the reward cabinet.

Q: How often do students get re-assessed?

A:
After students receive their initial assessment, they are reassessed in three weeks to adjust their curriculum. As students progress through their learning plans, they are reassessed after completing and mastering their work. Based on attendance, most students are assessed every 10 - 12 weeks. Parents receive results along with an explanation of what each student is learning, and what the next steps in their learning journey will be. Parents are encouraged to meet with the Center Director to discuss their child's results and learning journey.

Q: What kinds of math help does your center/re offer?

A:
First grade through 12th grade, including homework help for elementary, middle, and high school math; standardized testing prep for ACT/SAT, SSAT, ISEE, and PSAT; Pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, financial literacy, and pre-calculus.
