Jerry is the Owner of Mathnasium of Spokane South, Spokane North, and Spokane Valley. He holds an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business and a BA in Communications from the University of Michigan. Before Mathnasium, Jerry worked as Executive News Director at KXLY Media Group. He’s passionate about math and is committed to helping Spokane’s youth understand and enjoy it.
Jerry’s wife, Kris Crocker, is Chief Meteorologist at KXLY 4 News, and they share a love of numbers—especially temperatures. Together, they enjoy exploring the outdoors with their three children.
Sara graduated from Gonzaga University in 2022 with degrees in Criminology and Psychology. She hopes to become a juvenile psychologist working with children in the foster care system. At Mathnasium, Sara enjoys helping students grow in their math skills and watching their personalities shine.
Her favorite part of the job is seeing students light up during “aha” moments. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, exploring Spokane, and spending time with her dog.
Jasmine is a Gonzaga University graduate with degrees in Sport Management and Business Administration. Her academic focus included Finance and Management Information Systems. Jasmine loves showing students that there are many ways to solve a problem and believes math is essential to everyday life.
She enjoys helping students relate to math in ways that are clear and meaningful. In her free time, she loves traveling, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family.
Daniel graduated from Gonzaga with his MBA. Math was always one of his strongest subjects, and he helped tutor his classmates throughout his education. Daniel enjoys being active. This includes playing tennis and taking his dog for walks. When relaxing, he enjoys watching movies and playing videogames. Daniel has also been a foster for kittens.
Annie is a recent graduate of Eastern Washington University, she studied Business Administration and Minored in digital entrepreneurship development. She graduated Valedictorian from Columbia High School with her AA and tons of hours volunteering as a curriculum developer for the NPS and went straight to work on her bachelors. She had some great math teachers that guided her and really cultivated her love for teaching and learning. When not working she loves baking, kayaking, and working on small farms in the summer. She has tons of cool knowledge about agriculture and loves working with weird farm animals.
Ainsley is a Gonzaga University graduate who majored in Applied Mathematics and minored in Art. A 2020 graduate of The Oaks, she was honored as the math Spokane Scholar from her class.
Beyond academics, Ainsley enjoys hiking, golfing, drawing, and spending time with her dog. She’s passionate about exploring new places and has traveled to five different countries. Her love for learning and creativity drives her commitment to helping students discover the beauty and practicality of math.
Lauren is a student at Spokane Community College enrolled in the ultrasound technician program. She graduated from Sumner Highschool taking IB classes while attending their running start program at Pierce Community College. She recently moved here in the summer to be closer to family. Back home, she was a Center Director at Mathnasium of South Hill in Puyallup Washington. Ever since she was young, she has always loved numbers. Mathnasium has been a great place for her to combine her two favorite things- math and kids! Outside of school and Mathnasium, Lauren enjoys being outside. You could find her out dirt biking, four wheeling, snowmobiling, horse back riding, or just walking her pups. She also enjoys going to concerts, specifically country music concerts!
Addie is a sophomore at Eastern Washington University who is studying nursing with a minor in Chemistry. This has been her plan since she was 4 years old! She loves mathematics and providing confidence to those who need it, so her job here at Mathnasium is a perfect fit! Addie comes from a large family and has moved all over the state, residing in almost every major city. She was an all-league volleyball player in high school, and still loves to play into college. She also loves motorcycles and will be getting her license soon!
Sammy graduated from Mt. Spokane High School and earned her AA through Spokane Community College’s Running Start program. She’s been active in math clubs since elementary school and enjoys helping with local Math Is Cool events.
At Mathnasium, Sammy thrives on helping students understand tricky concepts. Outside of work, she enjoys video games, music, drawing, and playing on a family slowpitch softball team. She also frequently dog-sits for relatives and aspires to become a pediatric nurse.
Connor is a graduate from Whitworth University, and studied Elementary Education with endorsements in middle level mathematics and reading instruction. Math didn't always come easily for him, but it was something he found challenging and he could work hard at. Connor loves the outdoors including running, spike ball, and pickleball!
Ryan is a graduate of Gonzaga Prep High School and Gonzaga University, where he majored in Computer Science with a strong focus on math, preparing him for a career as a software engineer. Math has always come naturally to him, and he excelled in advanced courses throughout college. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys contributing to open-source software projects and playing the trumpet. A fun fact about him? He’s great at solving complex logic puzzles and is always up for a challenge!
Jane is a student at Gonzaga Prep and is a member of the Gonzaga Prep honor roll and National Honors Society. She is currently taking AP World History and College-in-the-Classroom Chemistry through the University of Washington. She has always loved expanding her knowledge around math, and is excited to be able to spread her love of math to kids. Outside of education, she loves tennis, skiing, and spending summers at the lake.
Ellis is a Mechanical Engineering major at Gonzaga University. He graduated from Ballard High School and has liked math from an early age. Math has always been his favorite subject because he feels that math is always comprehensible and logical. Ellis also has a lot of experience working with kids and finds it a very fun and rewarding job. Ellis has loved cars and motorcycles since he was a kid and enjoys fixing up old cars and motorcycles in his free time.
Zach is a senior at Central Valley High School hoping to study math education and Spanish at Whitworth. He has taken AP and accelerated classes all through high school, as well as 4 years of Spanish. He was behind in math as a kid until Pre-Algebra, and ever since he has loved math, and learning more than what was taught in class. Outside of work, he is most likely practicing instruments -- he plays the violin and is very involved in music. He also loves to go on hikes and go backpacking with his buddies during the summer.
Ethan is a student at Gonzaga University studying business. He graduated from Gonzaga Prep in 2025. In his free time, he enjoys music, family time, traveling, and spending time outside. Above all, he loves working with kids, making sure they feel safe and understood.
Kenny has a Bachelors in Mathematics from Gonzaga and a Masters in Mathematics from WSU. He plans on pursuing a teaching career and may go on to get a PHD in Pure Mathematics. Kenny dreams to work for the NSA! Kenny loves exploring math concepts with students and help everyone learn. In his free time, he loves watching sports!
Gus is a recent graduate of Whitworth University where he studied Secondary Education and Mathematics. He takes great pride in his education and it shows as he earned the Outstanding Mathematics Education during his time in school. In fact, Gus graduated Summa Cum Laude from Whitworth and earned the President's Cup for his 4.0 GPA! Gus has long been interested in teaching since high school and he is excited to combine that desire with his math skills here at Mathnasium. Gus already has a few years of experience under his belt teaching math and he is excited to continue! Outside of teaching, Gus is an avid fan of video games, music, and Lego's. Fun fact, he has been building a Lego collection for the past 10 years!
Kayla is a college student at Whitworth University studying economics with the goal of one day being a financial analyst. In high school, she was an ASB treasurer and has always loved anything to do with math. From a young age she knew that math came easier to her than other school subjects did and that made her want to pursue it more. When she’s not at work or school, she enjoys crocheting, hiking, and jujitsu. Ask her about her most recent crochet project, she’d love to tell you about it!
Grace is a graduate student at Whitworth University getting her master's degree in teaching. She graduated from Whitworth University with a B.S. in Biochemistry, summa cum laude, this spring and from Richland High School as a valedictorian in 2021. Ever since she was a kid, Grace has enjoyed problem solving both in science and math. She hopes to inspire students to be joyfully curious about the world around them both at Mathnasium and in her career as a teacher. Mathnasium is an amazing opportunity to continue to learn how to better serve students on their journeys to being the best they can be in their education! When she is not in class or at Mathnasium, Grace enjoys being outside with people she loves either reading, running, hiking, or sitting and spending time with them. She also enjoys getting to travel and experience the beauty of the world in many different places.
Maura is a student at Whitworth University studying Art History and Mathematics. She graduated from Mount Rainier High School with college credits. Her love for math comes from her mother, who taught it for over seven years at the high school level. Outside of Mathnasium, she loves reading a good book or going out with friends!
Sylvie is an upcoming freshman at Whitworth university studying Engineering. She graduated from Ferris High School Suma Cum Laude. For as long as she can remember she’s loved math and science. She also loves working with kiddos and helping them grow. Sylvie is an adventurer and loves hiking, swimming, and playing sports, mostly soccer, which she plays at Whitworth.
Tommy is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a Teacher Certification and a Minor in Analytical Finance at Gonzaga University. He graduated from Canby High School with an Honors diploma. Since he was in elementary, his favorite subject has always been mathematics. He runs cross country and track for Gonzaga University and bakes sweet treats in his free time.
Ryan went to school at Gonzaga and SCC studying mathematics and computer science. He has studied nearly every branch of math from game theory to advanced calculus and has been passing on knowledge to students successfully for decades, not only at Mathnasium but also the math center at SCC and independent tutoring as well! Math has always come pretty easy to him (except statistics, too many variables and curves to keep track of!) He really loves golf and fly fishing in his spare time he also likes watching Marvel movies with his wife and playing DnD with his friends.
Drake recently graduated from Western Washington University, about a year ago. His hope is to eventually teach professionally, and might go back for a PhD. He currently has a Master’s degree in mathematics, and most recently worked at Gonzaga university teaching calculus. Drake has always enjoyed mathematics, and looks for patterns wherever he can. He loves to play chess, ski, whittle, hike, and learn about the nature around him.
Angelina is a first-year Elementary Education major at Whitworth University. She is planning to go on and become an upper elementary school teacher or a middle school history teacher. She graduated from Yelm High School and South Puget Sound Community College with her AA in 2025. She used to struggle with math, but over time she has come to appreciate the skills behind it. Mathnasium has been a great place for her to combine her love of kids and love of intentional challenge. Outside of school and Mathnasium, Angelina loves hiking, camping, photography, D&D, and reading. She also loves to gain new experiences and travel - she has a lot of stories about places she has been while exploring!
Mira is a freshman at Gonzaga University studying Mechanical Engineering. She was the salutatorian at her high school, and took lots of APs, including AP Chinese! Mira has always enjoyed math, besides a significant blip in the 4th grade, where she refused to do homework or learn anything about fractions. She quickly made her way back to math, and it became her favorite subject again. Besides math, Mira loves watching sitcoms, seeing friends, going on long drives, and getting crafty! She also plays volleyball and enjoys watching sports. She has lots of travel stories, and loves to talk about shows and movies she’s watched.
Isa is a freshmen at Gonzaga University and graduated from Central Valley High School. She’s studying Psychology and Music, with a minor in conducting, and hopes to be a Children’s Therapist. Growing up, she always really enjoyed math and pushing herself to see what she could do. Working at Mathnasium has really helped her with her love for math and her love for working with kids! She likes to play the violin, paint, go for walks, travel and just chill out with her friends and family. Really anything hands on she’ll do!
Brandon is a sophomore at Eastern Washington University majoring in Cybersecurity. He graduated from Ramstein Air Force Base High School, after taking several AP classes ranging from Biology to History. But above all, he has loved math starting from Geometry and Algebra. Outside of work and school, Brandon loves messing around with technology; ranging from experimenting with software and operating systems, down to making sure the wiring at his desk is just right; if it runs on electricity Brandon has to poke at it.
Noah is a senior at Lewis and Clark High School. He plans to study mechanical engineering in college and pursue a career in engineering. Noah's favorite subjects have always been those with numbers. Outside the classroom, Noah's favorite thing to do is learn and master new skills like archery, fly-tying, cooking, racing, and just about anything else that sounds fun. Noah loves to be outside - especially when there is snow. He's been camping all over the country and feels most at home while sliding down a freshly powdered mountainside. He is also a complete Harry Potter geek and enjoys a witty sense of humor.
Taran is a senior at Ferris High School and plans to study chemistry after she graduates. A former Mathnasium student, she understands what it is like to need help, and to benefit from that help. She has taken multiple advanced math and science classes, and has a variety of volunteer jobs. As a Ferris chemistry intern, she has lots of practice experimenting with ideas and helping students grasp tough concepts. Outside of Mathnasium, she likes to write and draw in her journal, spend time in the sun, and listen to music. A home-body at heart, Taran loves nothing more than some hot tea and a good playlist.
Jocelyn is a senior at Ferris High School. After graduating, she plans to attend a 4 year college and get a STEM degree. She has taken 5 AP classes and is currently enrolled in 6 more. Math has always been her favorite subject and the one she has excelled in the most. Outside of Mathnasium, Jocelyn loves to play tennis and hang out with her family and friends. She also loves sports and is always willing to chat about whatever game just happened.
TC is a junior at Lewis and Clark High School. She is passionate about chemistry and wants to do research in the future. She is taking 5 AP classes this year including AP Calculus AB. She has always enjoyed learning math since she was little. She loves the logic and the problem-solving skills math brings. Unit circle is her favorite math topic. She feels like she's riding a merry-go-round when filling out a unit circle. She likes to read, scuba-dive, and play badminton. She also loves to learn different languages and travel to different places, and she has a lot of interesting stories about her experiences!
Addison is a sophomore at the University of Idaho studying International Studies. She made the dean’s list her first semester at the University of Idaho, getting an A in college Calculus. While Addison used to struggle in math in middle school, she learned to love it and worked hard to understand it. Outside of work, she loves to draw, listen to and play music, and spend time with her family and friends.
Adam is a Computer Science student at Eastern Washington University hoping to enter the field of graphics programming. Computer Science is his second degree, his first was a bachelors in Mathematics. Adam didn't always love math growing up, but once he got older and learned to see the thrill of discovering the truth, he got hooked and never looked back. Outside of work, he loves to go on long nature hikes and drink coffee on patios. He also loves to read, and would love to hear about students' favorite books and why they love them!
Austin serves in the Air National Guard and works full time for the U.S. Air Force in Emergency Management. His role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure—skills that translate directly to helping students succeed in math. Austin has always enjoyed logical challenges and understands that math isn’t about being “naturally good,” but about learning the right strategies and practicing them consistently. Austin believes that anyone can improve in math with patience and the right support. He enjoys helping students build confidence, break down difficult problems, and experience those “aha” moments when concepts finally make sense. Outside of work, Austin stays very active and enjoys running, mountain biking, snowboarding, and spending time outdoors. A fun fact students might enjoy: Austin treats math like a workout—the more you practice, the stronger you get.
Anna is a senior at The Oaks Classical Christian Academy planning to study biochemistry in college to eventually get an MD-PhD. Anna has taught herself math since geometry, and is now studying Calculus III after taking AP Calculus AB and Calculus II last year. She has always enjoyed math and loves helping others to enjoy it too. Outside of Mathnasium and school, Anna loves reading, hiking/backpacking, and traveling.
Gavin is a student at Ridgeline High School and aspires to go into engineering in college. He is a 4.0 honors and AP student, as well as a participant in 3 sports and player in the Ridgeline honors band. Gavin was always a math focused learner when he was younger, who was put in advanced learning classes to accelerate him even further. He likes to play basketball, football, and go to the gym with friends. He’s also a big fan but of all movies, always looking for new ones or ones he might of never heard of before.
Madison is a Junior at Lewis and Clark Highschool who hopes to pursue a major in business after she graduates. She is a member of National Honors society, maintaining a 4.0 unweighted GPA taking AP classes whenever offered. She is currently taking 5 AP classes, including AP Pre-Calculus. Outside of school and Mathnasium, Madison loves to bake, spend time with friends, be active, and explore. She enjoys playing soccer, skiing, wake surfing, running, and traveling. She also spends a lot of time baking and has some fun stories about different desserts she’s made.
Lucky is a freshman at Gonzaga University studying Political Science with intentions of going into Law. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School where he placed 5th at the Mu Alpha Theta National Math Competition, served as class officer and mentor for multiple years, performed as captain of the varsity soccer team, and received his International Baccalaureate diploma. He's always had a certain knack for math ever since he was young and is excited to use those skills to help others! Lucky loves to go outside--whether that means hanging out with friends, playing sports, or running with his dogs. He's passionate about many things, always wanting to talk about athletics, video games, the gym, or food!
Jacob attends University Highschool, and plans to major in Engineering at UW. Jacob has taken 9 AP classes and maintains a 3.99 GPA. Jacob has gained a passion for math over years of improvement and learning. Outside of work, Jacob plays guitar and trumpet in a Jazz Band.
Zachery is a junior at University High School who wants to be a high school math teacher. He has been to state for Math Is Cool competitions twice and has been given awards for it. He has taken 7 AP classes and is planning to take more during his senior year in high school. Math has naturally came to him and wants to be able to teach people the skills that he has learned. He loves doing band and marching band with his friends.
Kiara is a sophomore at Ridgeline High School. She was placed in advanced math in seventh grade, and since then she has continued progressing into higher-level courses. Next year, she plans to take college classes at Eastern Washington University through Running Start. Math has come naturally to Kiara since elementary school, and she’s always enjoyed the challenge. Outside of school, Kiara loves spending time outdoors—fishing, hiking, and playing volleyball with friends—as well as hanging out with her friends. She loves to travel and has visited multiple states and even another country.
Natalie is a freshman at Gonzaga University studying Psychology and Health Equity. She graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory School in Tacoma, Washington with high honors. She has taken a multitude of AP and Honors level classes throughout her academic career. In her childhood, Natalie struggled with Mathematics but with the help from a kind teacher, she grew to love everything math. Outside of the classroom, Natalie loves to cook and bake. Her favorite pastime is editing funny videos with her friends or making silly songs. She also has an affinity for anything travel related, and has many stories about her experiences across the world!
Gabby Post is a freshman at the University of Idaho, majoring in Architecture. She graduated from Lewis and Clark High School and took 15 Honor and AP classes during high school. She has been part of Mathnasium since the first center in 2017. She enjoys learning, traveling, doing pottery, running, and hanging out with her cats and family.
Joey is Center Director Daniel's Chihuahua. He likes jerky stick treats, shaking, and burrowing in laundry fresh out of the dryer.
Katriel is finishing her freshman year at Lewis and Clark High School, taking AP Precalculus and two other college-level courses. Growing up, she always loved math for the ability to problem-solve and think in different ways. In addition to math, she loves music, playing violin in her high school Chamber Orchestra and the Spokane Youth Symphony Philharmonic, while singing in Spokane Area Youth Choirs for multiple years. These organizations have taught her the value of community, and she's excited to have an impact by helping kids build confidence with math. Beyond this, she loves a bit of recreational tennis, books, and LEGOs.
