Matthew joins our team from next door in Gilman, MN, and is attending St. Cloud State pursing his Mathematics Education degree and as of Fall '22 is in his Junior year. Hobbies of his include softball, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, and most games to play with close friends! A fun fact about Matthew: he own's a Guinness Book World Record! He and his brother completed 6,300 Frisbee tosses in a row! But the best part, when asked about his favorite part of his job, his reply: "My favorite part of my job is getting to help young students grow in their mathematical prowess while also have the privalege of laughter and fun along the way."
If you don't give him a high five, he will ask you a math question! (or if you want both, he is fine with that too!)
Kate is the world's best artist (in our eyes), and also really good at teaching kids math! Her infectious smile and math skills are some the kids love, and we wished we had more of her! "I love my job because there is nothing like seeing a child understand what they are learning and then become excited to do it again."
Andy and his wife Jenna (and now son Arthur) have owned Mathnasium of St. Cloud since July 1st, 2017. While he was going to college in Mankato for accouting and finance, he realized his passion and skills lay in teaching kids and helping them love math. Luckily for him, he now gets to do both. He just wishes accounting was as easy as helping kids learn to love math.
Jordan is quite the lad. Graduating from Sauk Rapids HS, living in Rice, he now attends SCSU as a math and statistics majors. He recently had research article published in an international, scientific, peer-review journal! Even so much so that one of his hobbies is reasearching things of interest, and also rowing and gaming. (Dungeons and Dragons his favorite). Jordan enjoys seeing the kids have fun in our environment, and sees the mind open up making learning so much easier for kids.
Ruth comes to us as a recently retired middle school math teacher from the Sauk Rapids School District. She has many decades of experience shaping young minds and could not give it up! We are grateful to have her on our team!
Chuck is our mathematical Dumbledore, a wizard above all others you could say. (just wait until you see him on Halloween) He is a retired teacher from the Sauk Rapids School district where his many years shaping young minds could not be given up after declaring 'retirement'.
Grace is a senior at Sauk Rapids High School. Involved in DECA, many AP classes, and am sure plenty more, we are happy to have her part of our staff before she goes on and changes the world!
