    Mathnasium of Tuckahoe is located in front of Ukrop's Market Hall, between Corks and Kegs and The Tavern at Triangle Park. With convenient access and plenty of parking, our location makes it easy for families across Henrico County and the greater Richmond area to attend regularly. 

    We proudly serve students from Henrico County and surrounding communities including the West End, The Fan, Three Chopt, Tuckahoe, Glenside, Brookland, Fairfield, and Montrose. Schools we serve include:

    Yes! Mathnasium of Tuckahoe offers both in-center and online tutoring. Whether students attend in person or online, they receive personalized, face-to-face instruction from the same specially trained tutors in a supportive and engaging group environment designed to help them thrive.

  • Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

    No. Students who attend online sessions receive the same high-quality instruction, personalized learning plans, and caring support they would experience at our learning center. The experience is collaborative, structured, and designed to help students succeed in the classroom and beyond.

  • What math classes can your Tuckahoe tutors help with?

    We work with students in grades K–12 across all math subjects, from early childhood math and arithmetic to Algebra and Geometry. 

    With help from our specially trained math tutors in Richmond, students build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and improve academic performance.

  • What does mathematics tutoring cost at Mathnasium of Tuckahoe?

    We provide math-only tutoring through a flat monthly enrollment with no long-term contracts. Most students benefit from attending 2–3 times per week. During your free assessment, we’ll help determine the best schedule and learning plan for your child.

    No. The cost of membership is the same regardless of whether your child attends sessions in person, online, or follows a hybrid schedule.

  • Why do you require an assessment for enrollment at Mathnasium of Tuckahoe?

    Students begin their Mathnasium journey with a diagnostic assessment that helps us understand their skill level, identify learning gaps, and gain insight into their goals. These insights allow us to build a personalized learning plan that supports meaningful growth and long-term success.

  • How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

    At Mathnasium of Tuckahoe, we don’t follow a one-size-fits-all curriculum. We use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach that combines personalized learning plans with proven instructional techniques. 

    Building upon what the student already knows, we add new concepts gradually, breaking them down into manageable steps to help them fill in their knowledge gaps, develop solid foundational skills, and even transform how they think and feel about math.

  • Do you work with advanced students or with students who are struggling with math?

    Yes! We work with students at all skill levels, whether they are looking to catch up, keep up, or get ahead on their math journey. 

    Students who are struggling with math will benefit from step-by-step instruction and confidence-building support.  

    Advanced students will receive enrichment opportunities that extend their learning and keep them engaged.

  • Do you work with homeschooled students in Richmond?

    Yes. We welcome homeschooled students in grades K–12, as well as students attending public and private schools across Henrico County and surrounding areas in Richmond.

  • Do you help students with their math homework?

    Yes. Our tutors set aside time during sessions to help students with their math homework and ensure they understand the material they are covering in school.

  • Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

    No. All learning takes place during sessions under the caring guidance of our specially trained tutors. We do not assign homework—our focus is on helping students make measurable progress in the center.

  • Do you prepare students for standardized tests?

    Yes. We help students prepare for standardized and school-based math exams—including state assessments, ACT®, and SAT®. Our test prep includes personalized learning plans, focused practice, and strategies that build skill and confidence.
