Virginia SOL Math Explained: A Grade-by-Grade Guide for Parents
Understand what Virginia's 2023 Math SOLs expect at every grade level, what scores mean, and how Tuckahoe families can help their child stay on track.
This past Monday, Mathnasium had the privilege of participating in the Henrico County Public Schools Division-Wide Rubik’s Cube Tournament! The event brought together elementary and middle school students, all eager to showcase their speed and problem-solving skills in both individual and team competitions.
Students competed to solve the cube as quickly as possible, with the top three students and teams in each division earning well-deserved recognition. But the excitement didn’t stop there! In addition to the main event, students had the chance to participate in a variety of engaging activities, including chess, a competitive Mario Kart showdown, and solving math-y challenges to earn prizes!
Mathnasium was honored to be part of the action. Our Area Manager, Austin, served as a judge, ensuring fair play and sportsmanship throughout the competition, while our Center Director, Caleb, kept the fun going with exciting math challenges for students and their families. We loved seeing so much enthusiasm for problem-solving—both with numbers and cubes!
We had an incredible time supporting the young problem-solvers of Henrico County. A big congratulations to all the participants, and we can’t wait for the next event!
