Q: What is the first thing a brand new student does at your center?
A: A new student will be a given a comprehensive math assessment to check how they are doing in Math. During the assessment, we explain them about our reward program and they get to spin the wheel after they complete the assessment.
Q: What is the comprehensive assessment? How long does it take to finish?
A: We build a foundation for math mastery through deep understanding by starting with what they already know, addressing any learning gaps, expanding their mathematical thinking and adding new concepts in sequence. This proprietary method works for kids of all ages and skill levels, whether they’re struggling in math, doing okay but could be doing better, or are already excelling but need more of a challenge. The assessment includes both verbal and written component, to pinpoint their exact strengths and weaknesses.
Q: How often should I bring my student to Mathnasium of Union City?
A: Twice a week sessions is what we recommend in majority of the cases
Q: Who are the people teaching my child?
A: Our instructors come from a diverse background. A few have finished college with Bachelors in Sciences while a few are still finishing their college and are specializing in math or science. We also have a few exceptional high schoolers who excel at math and have a passion of teaching
Q: When can I bring my child into Mathnasium of Union City?
A: We have a highly flexible scheduling. We can schedule your for the free assessment based on your availability. We are open Monday - Thursday 3PM - 7.30PM and Sunday 1PM - 4PM
Q: How do you motivate your students at Mathnasium of Union City?
A: Kids love our reward program. They earn stars in their punch cards during their sessions and get to redeem rewards for those cards. We also nominate student of the month and math wizard each month which gives them additional benefits for the reward cabinet.
