Q: What is a comprehensive assessment?
A: The Comprehensive Assessment consists of Oral and Written questions. This will let us show you where your child is, with respect to their depth of understanding of key math concepts and skills. Our goal is to develop Number Sense - mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills that will carry a student through, more than tonight's homework and Friday's test.
Q: What things do you learn about a student when they take a comprehensive assessment?
A: The assessment will pinpoint the student's strengths and weaknesses.
Q: What is a customized learning plan?
A: By determining a student's starting point, Mathnasium's customized math learning plan will allow your child to catch up, keep up, or get ahead. We meet them where they are and set them on the path for success.
Q: How do you gauge progress?
A: As a topic is completed, a 'Mastery Check' serves as a mini-quiz to show that the student understands the topic thoroughly.
