Emily is the Owner and Center Director of Mathnasium of Wausau. As a mother with children in local schools, she understands the rewards and challenges of supporting young learners.
Her mission is to help students build math confidence, develop better homework habits, and foster a positive attitude toward school. Emily believes deeply in the Mathnasium Method™ and how it transforms students’ relationship with math. She also values strong community ties and works to partner with local schools and organizations to enrich student learning and success.
Amy is delighted to join the Mathnasium team, and we are equally excited to welcome her! After an incredible 32-year career teaching 3rd grade in the DC Everest District, Amy brings a wealth of experience, patience, and joy to our center. Her lifelong passion for helping children grow and succeed makes her a perfect fit for Mathnasium’s mission.
Outside the classroom, Amy treasures time with her three grandchildren. She is an avid reader and loves getting lost in a good book. She also loves exploring the great outdoors - whether hiking local trails or discovering new adventures in our National Parks with her husband and their dogs.

Ezra is a student at Wausau East High School and an International Baccalaureate Diploma candidate with a strong passion for math and science. He participates in the Wisconsin Math League and Central Wisconsin High School Leadership Program.
Ezra brings classroom experience and leadership to Mathnasium, having co-taught high school math classes. He enjoys trail running, hiking, and reading in his free time. Ezra is dedicated to helping students truly understand math and is a thoughtful, confident mentor for learners of all ages.
Aspen is a graduate of Wausau East High School and a current student at UW–Stevens Point. She brings creativity and warmth to Mathnasium through her love for theater, reading, and storytelling.
Her experience at local children’s museums sparked her passion for helping kids learn through curiosity and play. At Mathnasium, Aspen combines her friendly nature and diverse interests to support students as they build confidence in their math skills and discover their own strengths.
We are thrilled to welcome Ty, a graduate from D.C. Everest IDEA Charter School, to our Mathnasium team! Ty has discovered a true passion for teaching math, and his enthusiasm shines through in everything he does. This fall, he will take the next step in his journey as a math educator at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, bringing his dedication and energy to a whole new level.
Ty's commitment to sharing his love of math and helping others tackle tough concepts is truly inspiring. He makes learning engaging and rewarding for students, and we're confident he'll be an exceptional guide for our Mathletes.
Outside of the classroom, Ty knows how to bring the fun! Whether it's games or sports with friends and family, his competitive spirit and love of teamwork make every activity memorable. A seasoned cross-country runner and an impressive winter curler, Ty thrives in team environments where challenges push him to excel.
Betsy is a recently retired mathematics teacher from Wausau East High School, where she spent an incredible 34 years helping students build confidence and success in math. Her passion for teaching and helping students understand mathematical concepts has made a lasting impact on generations of learners. Now, Betsy is bringing that same enthusiasm and expertise to Mathnasium! She is excited to continue inspiring students of all ages, helping them strengthen their math skills, build confidence, and discover that math can make sense.
Aaron is a software engineer at Skyward, Inc., where he has worked since 2020. He has always loved teaching - whether in professional settings, personal projects, or academic environments. In high school, his mother was his math teacher, giving him both inspiration and extra support to excel in the subject.
Aaron brings that same encouragement to Mathnasium. He enjoys helping students build confidence, strengthen their skills, and discover that math can be empowering. Outside of work, Aaron enjoys walking local trails, going to the gym, and playing video games, especially Super Smash Bros.
Kameron is a student at Wausau West High School and brings a positive, encouraging presence to our Mathnasium team. He enjoys playing volleyball, going fishing, and making music on both the piano and guitar. As the oldest of four brothers, he’s a natural leader who’s patient, responsible, and great with kids.
Kameron is also actively involved in his church community and loves opportunities to help others learn and grow. We’re grateful to have his enthusiasm and kindness in the center.
Lydia brings a diverse professional background and a passion for helping students succeed. She currently serves as the Program Administrator for a Wausau based nonprofit, a role she has held since February 2024. Prior to that, she gained valuable experience working in manufacturing, security, and healthcare, developing strong problem-solving and communication skills along the way.
In addition to her professional experience, Lydia has spent many years serving as a volunteer Sunday school teacher, working with children ranging from 18 months to 9 years old. She loves connecting with students, encouraging their growth, and helping them build confidence in their abilities.
A lifelong learner with a passion for mathematics, Lydia believes that every student can succeed when given the right support and encouragement. She is excited to help Mathnasium students develop strong math skills, build confidence, and discover that math can be both fun and rewarding!
