Wayne

Instructor

Wayne is a proud U.S. Navy veteran who recently earned his Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies, with a focus on Secondary Mathematics Education, from Western Governors University. After spending most of his life in sunny San Diego, California, he made the bold decision to relocate to Wausau, Wisconsin.  He was drawn to Wisconsin by the allure of its four distinct seasons and, of course, the legendary Green Bay Packers! When he's not shaping young minds in the world of mathematics, Wayne enjoys cruising the streets of Wausau as a DoorDash driver, exploring the area while delivering meals.  In his downtime, he loves unwinding with friends through epic video game sessions.  Wayne's journey reflects a love for adventure, a thirst for knowledge, and a deep appreciation for both new and familiar experiences.  We are thrilled to have Wayne on our team and look forward to the positive impact he’ll bring to our students!

Emily

Instructor

Emily is currently a sophomore at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where she is pursuing a major in mathematics alongside minors in statistics/data science and business management. Her academic interests reflect her passion for logical thinking, analytical problem-solving, and gaining skills that bridge mathematical concepts with practical applications.

Born and raised in central Wisconsin, Emily has developed a strong connection to her community and the great outdoors. In her free time, she loves spending sunny days by the lake, immersing herself in the tranquility of nature, or honing her skills on the golf course. Beyond her love for math and the outdoors, Emily is dedicated to personal growth and enjoys balancing her studies with activities that refresh her mind and inspire her creativity.

Ezra

Instructor

Ezra is a dynamic student at Wausau East High School with a passion for math and science, eager to apply these fields in his future endeavors. As an International Baccalaureate Diploma Candidate, he maintains an impressive GPA and is dedicated to academic excellence. Outside the classroom, Ezra is actively involved in several extracurricular activities, including the Central Wisconsin High School Leadership Program, the Wisconsin Math League, and the Central Wisconsin Mathematics League, among others. He also brings valuable experience to the table with co-teaching roles at the high school mathematics level. When he's not immersed in the world of numbers and equations, you'll find him pushing his limits on the track or cross-country course, or exploring the outdoors through hiking and biking. Ezra also loves diving into a good book, finding inspiration and adventure in the pages when he's not conquering the trails. His diverse interests reflect a driven and curious spirit, always seeking new challenges and ways to grow. We are thrilled to have Ezra on our team and look forward to seeing all that he will achieve!

Miles

Instructor

Miles proudly earned his bachelor's degree in physics in December 2024, marking a significant milestone in his academic journey. His deep love for mathematics, electronics, and music has always been a driving force in his life, fueling his curiosity and creativity. Beyond his role at Mathnasium, where he helps students master complex mathematical concepts, Miles finds joy in a variety of activities that balance his intellectual pursuits with personal passions.

When he's not solving equations or mentoring students, Miles enjoys spending time with his two cats, Pancake and Waffle, who never fail to bring a smile to his face with their playful antics. Whether he's hanging out with friends, jamming on his guitar, or expressing himself through piano, music provides an outlet for his creativity and a way to unwind after a busy day. Miles is always eager to learn new things, explore different interests, and connect with others who share his enthusiasm for the things that make life richer and more fulfilling.  We’re excited to have Miles on our team and can’t wait to see the amazing impact he’ll make!
