Mathnasium of River Oaks is where students in grades 2-12 come to catch up, keep up, and get ahead in math. Our learning center specializes in math tutoring and enrichment, homework help, and test prep (including SAT and ACT). Our program combines customized curriculum, Mathnasium methodology, and specially trained Instructors (tutors) to deliver results to our students.

Customized Curriculum

All students' journeys at Mathnasium begin with a diagnostic assessment to check their individual strengths and weaknesses in math. We meet each student where they are at and take them where they need to go.

Have a student that is struggling with finger counting or multiplication facts? How about getting ready for the SAT and ACT? Mathnasium has specialty assessments for these skills as well.

Our Assessment generates a custom learning plan for your student, and determines what material we will work on with your student during their time at Mathnasium.

Mathnasium Methodology

Mathnasium makes math make sense to kids. Our curriculum was written to promote number sense, the understanding of numbers, their magnitude, relationships, and how they are affected by operations.

Math is a subject that builds upon itself, so Mathnasium promotes developing a strong foundation, with which to build upon.

Instructors

Mathnasium Instructors (Tutors) are hired based on their competence in math, all the way through Calculus, and their patience and positivity when working with students. Mathnasium maintains an empowering environment because our mission is to increase student’s confidence in the classroom.
