Jason

Instructor
I've recently graduated from Chapman University with my Bachelor's in Physics with a minor in Computer Science. When working with math, I believe I'm dealing with the universe itself, that's why I love working with it so much and why I chose to pursue a degree in Physics. I love helping other people, especially young students, discover and understand the beauty of math as I see it. Eventually, I wish to have a career in Aerospace Materials and/or Propulsion Systems, as I'm fascinated with the structure of materials and wish to help humanity explore the stars. In my free time I enjoy exercising, playing games, and of course, doing math.

Hirad

Instructor
Hirad is a mechanical engineering major at IVC. He explores his passion for STEM topics through automobiles and physics. Hirad enjoys group problem solving and helping his peers succeed. Having joined the Mathnasium team in September of 2022, he is quite familiar and comfortable with the Mathnasium method and curriculum. His hobbies include playing the piano, soccer, and cooking.

Arjun

Gary is currently a senior in high school. He has been a big fan of math ever since he was young and is very interested in learning more about and teaching others anything related to math. With advanced knowledge in math up to linear algebra, Gary is also proficient in coding, statistics, and chemistry. He believes that math is the foundation of many careers and subjects, and without it, much of what is understood in the world wouldn’t exist. Gary has been tutoring students at his high school for over two years and has also taught math to family friends and neighbors for a long time. A fun fact about Gary is that he was a student at Mathnasium for nearly three years and has a younger brother who currently attends Mathnasium. Assistant Director
Donna joined Mathnasium as an instructor in June 2024. She recently completed a Master’s Degree in Computer Science at Cal State Fullerton and is currently studying for a cybersecurity certification. Through her many years of tutoring K-12 students in math and other subjects, Donna has learned that understanding a student's thought process is one of the most effective ways to help them achieve a genuine understanding of the material. She also believes that having a good problem-solving process is more important than simply knowing the correct answers and strives to cultivate this mindset in her students. In her spare time, Donna enjoys reading, drawing, and playing video games.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
