Erik

Associate Center Director

Erik joined the Mathnasium team as an Instructor in late July 2017. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the University of California, Irvine. Originally from National City, CA, located in Southern San Diego County, he decided to take a large step out of his comfort zone and move out of his hometown to continue his educational pursuits. Math has always been a strong point and passion for him, from assisting his teachers at his high school as a Peer Tutor/ Teaching Assistant in Algebra and Intermediate Algebra to assisting his fellow classmates in college. In his free time, Erik enjoys playing baseball and volleyball, hanging out with friends and family, going out and eating at various restaurants, and bonfires and adventures at the beach.

Jason

Instructor
I've recently graduated from Chapman University with my Bachelor's in Physics with a minor in Computer Science. When working with math, I believe I'm dealing with the universe itself, that's why I love working with it so much and why I chose to pursue a degree in Physics. I love helping other people, especially young students, discover and understand the beauty of math as I see it. Eventually, I wish to have a career in Aerospace Materials and/or Propulsion Systems, as I'm fascinated with the structure of materials and wish to help humanity explore the stars. In my free time I enjoy exercising, playing games, and of course, doing math.
