Mathnasium is the only "math only" learning center in Wichita.

INSTRUCTOR REQUIREMENTS:

• Math Expertise.  Mathnasium of West Wichita hires only talented individuals who are exceptional at math.  Very high ACT / SAT math scores are a plus. You must be competent through high school Algebra-2.  Tell us how much math education you've completed beyond high school courses. 

• You like to work with kids. Applicants must be compassionate and enthused about teaching students.  Classroom, tutoring, or similar teaching experience is helpful.  Past coaching or mentoring kids is a plus. 

• Available.  Applicants must be available to work these hours. 

  • ​SCHOOL YEAR HOURS:  Monday - Thursdays 2:45pm - 7:45pm and Saturdays 8:45am - 12:30pm. You must be available to work at least three days between Monday - Thursday and at least three Saturday mornings per month.  (Some minor flexibility is available).

  • SUMMER HOURS:  Monday - Thursdays 1:45pm - 7:00pm and Fridays 1:45pm - 5:00pm. 

  • International students - You must be eligible to work off campus and have a SSN.

• Excellent verbal communication skills.  Spoken English must be clear, and easily understood. 

• Energetic.  Positive, enthusiastic, and compassionate attitude.   Are you FUN to be around?

• Testing.   Applicants must pass a rigorous employment math test and pass a background check.

• Instructors must have a portable / mobile device such as a cell phone. We communicate via text and a scheduling app.
