Specially Trained and Caring Team
Katlyn
Center Director
Katlyn is currently pursuing her Master’s in Biology at George Mason University and brings creativity and curiosity to everything she does. A former Mathnasium student, she’s excited to give back by helping others make math make sense—just like it did for her.
She has a love for fairytales, especially the numbers 3 and 7, and collects playing cards with a collection now over 180 decks strong. Outside the center, Katlyn enjoys painting, writing poetry, and answering the age-old question: What’s odd? Every other number!
Fatima
Instructor
Fatima is a junior at Hylton High School who brings energy and positivity to the Mathnasium team. She loves playing lacrosse, spending time with family and friends, and crafting fun and creative drinks.
Her favorite number is 13, which she proudly adopted in fourth grade after someone told her it was unlucky—she’s been proving them wrong ever since! Fatima enjoys making math feel less intimidating and more empowering for every student she works with.
Mustafa
Instructor
Mustafa is a computer science student who brings creativity and clarity to math instruction. He began tutoring by helping his younger sister, then his neighbor, and now enjoys teaching students at Mathnasium using intuitive, engaging methods.
His favorite number is π, though he says explaining why would be an “infinitely long story.” When not teaching, Mustafa enjoys sketching comic book characters, coding small automation projects, and exploring new tech.
