Sima Ekhtiari, Center Director
Sima graduated from the Mercer University School of Medicine with a Master of Public Health degree. During the Public Health program, Sima developed materials educating youth in the Macon area on making healthy food selections through the use of mass media.
Sima opened Mathnasium because of its innovative approach to teach mathematics to youth. This correlation to her experience at Mercer University and a natural affinity math attracted her to this business. Before she came to the United Stated she has been an instructor at a medical school and assistant principal of a primary school in her native country.
Sima is married with two children and lives in Macon, Georgia.
Sheila Hundley, Instructor
Sheila graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education and a Masters in Education. She has Georgia certification in early childhood education, middle grades, and as a reading specialist. Sheila taught math in public schools and private schools in Macon, Atlanta, and Maryland. Her teaching experiences have included elementary, post-secondary, and middle school grades with a strong emphasis in mathematics.
In addition to her love of teaching math, Sheila enjoys cooking and traveling. She lives in Macon with her husband.
Joshua Reitnauer, Instructor
Joshua graduated from Macon State College with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics. He is currently searching for full time employment in a science or business field. He has lived in Macon since 2001, and was home-schooled from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Joshua has also played the piano/keyboard for 19 years and enjoys playing and composing music.
