Jerry, Center Director

Jerry graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Economics and California State University Fullerton with an M.B.A.  With over 10 years experience in tutoring, his passion is helping students learn mathematical concepts and become the best scholars they can be!  On his free time, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his daughter. 






Tracy, Assistant Director

Tracy graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a minor in Management. While pursuing her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in Massachusetts, she volunteered in an after-school program to work with at-risk children. She decided to change careers because she was more passionate about working with children and enjoyed her prior experience as a teacher’s aide teaching mathematics to elementary school students. Currently, she is pursuing her Single Subject Teaching Credential in Mathematics at California State University, Long Beach. Her interests include reading, cooking, and watching movies.

Marcus, Assistant Director

Marcus joined the Mathnasium team in 2016 and currently resides in Irvine, CA. He graduated from University High School in 2015 and is currently majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Growing up, he has always enjoyed studying mathematics, as well as helping others learn. In his church in Stanton, Marcus is one of the music directors, serving as a piano accompanist and a choir conductor. In his free time, Marcus enjoys spending time with his friends, playing volleyball, and traveling. 


Kevin, Assistant Director

Kevin is currently attending University of California, Irvine in pursuit of his Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering, where he can utilize his love for the environment and mathematics. He has enjoyed working with his classmates to understand new concepts and hopes to help more people overcome their difficulties. He has experience working as a summer school teaching assistant for middle schoolers back in his hometown of San Jose, CA. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys playing video games, tinkering with random projects, and cooking.


Jeff, Lead Instructor

Jeff is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering at the University of California, Irvine. Growing up, math was always one of his favorite subjects and he would often find himself teaching his peers and helping them with their math education.  Pursuing a degree involving advanced mathematics has renewed his passion for math and since, being able to share his love of math at Mathnasium has become a highlight of his day.  In his free time, he enjoys solving puzzles like Sudoku, playing video games, watching movies and the occasional trip to the great outdoors.


Andre, Instructor

Andre is currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering at UC Irvine. He loves teaching math to students because he loves when students experience the "light bulb" moment when they understand a topic that was difficult for them in the past. In his free time, Andre enjoys singing in his a capella group, watching movies with friends, and hanging out at the beach. 



Aaron, Instructor 

Aaron is currently in his 4th year at UC Irvine and pursuing a bachelors in biological sciences. Math became a favorite subject for him in high school as he enjoyed working through complex problems. He loves to teach and make learning an enjoyable experience for students. Being able to make students smile and work with confidence has driven him to help those who struggle with mathematics to attain success. Some other interests that Aaron has is weight lifting, playing basketball, football, and also traveling.


Pretan, Instructor

Pretan is currently attending University of California, Irvine and pursuing a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Biomedical Engineering and specialization in Material Sciences.  He has always had a love for math and now wants to show how Math can be fun and enjoyable to others.  He has volunteered as a teacher’s assistant at a middle school and also tutored math and chemistry at the college level.  When he’s not studying or working on math, he likes music, dancing, hiking and playing video games.

Stephen, Instructor

Stephen grew up in the Philippines and obtained a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of the Philippines. As a recent graduate, he is eager to share his knowledge to students and be part of a team whose members have one common passion, that is, teaching math. He is also currently working his way into the insurance industry by passing the first two actuarial exams and preparing for the succeeding ones. In the near future, he plans to further his studies by taking a Master's Degree in Financial Mathematics. On his free days, he goes to interesting places where he can take good photos.
