Meet the Team
Josh M.
Centre Director - Since 2019
Josh is a graduate of the University of Guelph and has taught math and English both in Canada and overseas. He joined Mathnasium in September 2019 and enjoys guiding students through “lightbulb moments” when challenging topics finally click. He finds it especially rewarding to help learners build confidence with concepts they once found difficult.
Outside the centre, Josh enjoys reading comics and science fiction, as well as developing creative ways to break down math ideas for students.
Rushi S.
Assistant Centre Director - Since 2021
Rushi is completing his Master’s degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Guelph, where he also serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. He has a strong passion for teaching math and enjoys supporting students of all ages, particularly with tough problems that require persistence and creativity. Rushi loves seeing students’ confidence grow as they master new material.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing outdoor sports and spending time with his friends.
Emma D.
Lead Instructor - Since 2022
Emma is a second-year student at Wilfrid Laurier University, where she studies music and psychology. She enjoys building connections with students and helping them discover that math isn’t so intimidating after all. Emma’s favourite part of teaching is encouraging learners to reach their individual goals while finding joy in the process.
Outside of Mathnasium, she enjoys playing the trumpet, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing with a good game.

Tyler is a third-year student at the University of Guelph pursuing an Honours degree in History with the goal of becoming a teacher. He's passionate about teaching math and have been working at Mathnasium since March 2022. Additionally, he has experience as a counsellor at a summer camp in Maine.

Simreen is an instructor at Mathnasium of Guelph, where she has been making math engaging for students for the past two years. She's currently studying Biological Science at the University of Guelph, she is passionate about teaching and continuously explores innovative methods to help children grasp mathematical concepts with enthusiasm.

Anshu is currently pursuing PhD in Environmnetal Sciences at the University of Guelph. She has been tutoring math and science since 2017 and is working as a Graduate teaching assistant as well. She is passionate about helping students understand challenging concepts and develop a genuine interest in the subject. She strives to create a positive and engaging learning environment. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and painting.

Vikramjeet is a senior at the University of Guelph. He likes working at Mathnasium because we teach the kids that math is fun! When he's not working he would be iceskating or coding.
