Meet the Team
Josh M.
Centre Director - Since 2019
Josh is a graduate of the University of Guelph and has spent many years teaching Math and English both in Canada and overseas. He has been tutoring Math at Mathnasium since September 2019 and loves when everything clicks into place for any student he works with. It is the most rewarding when those topics are tougher for a student and they finally reach that point of understanding the concept fully. Josh enjoys reading comics, science fiction, and thinking of new ways to break down and understand things!
Rushi S.
Assistant Centre Director - Since 2021
Rushi is a graduate student of the University of Guelph with a Masters Degree in Computer Engineering. He is a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University, and really enjoys working with students of all ages, especially teaching a subject like math which he is very passionate about. He really enjoys being able to help students understand those tougher math problems which can be very tricky! In his spare time, Rushi likes playing outdoor sports and spending time with his friends.
Kira T.

Kira is currently completing a Masters of Science degree in Applied Mathematics with a Collaboration in AI at the University of Guelph. Kira has 5+ years of tutoring experience and has worked with grade levels from Kindergarten students all the way up to Second - Year University students. She is very passionate about teaching and research, and always wants to keep learning. She really enjoys being able to help others understand somthing she is really passionate about, and likes to continuously ensure a postive and fun learning evironment, just as her teachers have done for her! In her spare time, Kira's favourite hobbies are reading and playing hockey.

Emma is currently in her second year at Wilfred Laurier University studying music and psychology. She enjoys getting to know the students individually, how she can help each of them achieve their math goals, and convincing them that math isn't so bad! In her spare time Emma likes to play games with her family and friends, as well as play her trumpet.
Shraddha J.

Shraddha is completing a Master's in Environmental Science at the University of Guelph. She has 5+ years of tutoring experience in India and Canada. She has worked with grade levels from kindergarten students to grade 9. She enjoys working and engaging with students of all ages. She looks forward to engaging with students to have fun while learning so that they can reach an understanding of the concept. In her free time she likes reading books, writing poems and blogs, listening to music, and giving family time.
Tyler A.
Instructor - Since 2022
Tyler is a third-year student at the University of Guelph pursuing an Honours degree in History with the goal of becoming a teacher. He's passionate about teaching math and have been working at Mathnasium since March 2022. Additionally, he has experience as a counsellor at a summer camp in Maine.
Lucas B.
Instructor - Since 2023
Lucas has a degree in physics and a strong background in computer science. He loves teaching math because it is the language that allows us to reason about things we don't yet understand. At the mathnasium, it is his hope to share the wonder and excitement that comes with breaking down and understanding complex topics. Outside of work, Lucas is a musician and he also enjoys developing mathematical models for quantum gravity and artificial intelligence.
