Meet the Team at Mathnasium of Lakeview-Mississauga South

Eric B

Eric has loved math from an early age and has been teaching at Mathnasium for nearly seven years. He graduated from Nipissing University and Sheridan College with a Bachelor of Commerce and a diploma in Accounting. His favourite part of teaching is seeing the spark in students' eyes when a concept finally clicks. 

Eric believes in comprehension over memorization and enjoys making math fun and meaningful. Outside the centre, he plays soccer, basketball, and baseball with friends, and also enjoys movies, music, and video games. 

Renée B

Hi! My name is Renée and I'm in the Master of Teaching program at OISE. 

I love teaching math because seeing students go from not understanding to understanding is a great feeling. 

My favourite part of math is algebra! I love the steps and systematic approach.

Elaine B

Elaine is a commerce student at Queen's University and former Mathnasium student of five years. She developed a strong passion for math and now shares that excitement as a Lead Instructor. Elaine enjoys making math understandable and rewarding, especially when students grow in confidence. 

Her favourite part of the job is seeing students light up when they master new concepts. Outside of Mathnasium, Elaine plays hockey and enjoys reading. She sees math as a tool for understanding the world and is proud to help students embrace it with enthusiasm.

Meet Jonathan: Hey guys, I'm Jonathan! I am a third year biology and mathematical science major at the University of Toronto. I enjoy math very much as I view each problem like a puzzle. Solving questions is very satisfying for me, especially if I've been stuck on them for a while. In my free time, I love reading, hanging out with my friends, and playing video games.

Hi! My name is Antonio and I'm in my 3rd year of astrophysics at McMaster. 

I love teaching math because I can help others understand that, even though it seems complicated and abstract, math can be easy when broken down into simple terms.
