1. What is the most common thing you see in new students coming to Mathnasium for the first time?
A: First-time students are so defeated by math. They have no confidence in their ability to learn. They're frustrated, and feel bad.
2. If there was one thing you could tell parents before they bring their student to Mathnasium what would it be?
A: If you can get the student here the first time, we'll make it our job to get them to want to come all the other times!
3. What things do the most successful students have in common?
A: They focus and try their best.
4. What are some of the ways you teach math to your students?
A: We'll start with verbal teaching and move onto visuals and manipulatives, as necessary.
5. What do you think is the coolest thing about Mathnasium?
A: I love the way we make learning math so fun, and the many times each shift that I see an "Ah ha!" moment.
