Charley Prusky
Hi! I’m Charley, and I've been the Owner here at Mathnasium of Markham since July 2019. I have been working with children for over twenty years in various capacities, including, but not limited to, tutoring, Pre-K education, Snow Ski Instruction, and leading children as a camp counsellor. I have a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Sociology, and Master’s Degree in Education specializing in Early Childhood Education. I have always had a passion for math, and I hope to inspire that same excitement in students of all ages and skill levels! I am proud to be a member of the amazing Mathnasium family that has the distinct privilege of helping children increase their skills, have fun doing it, and gain confidence in themselves! One of my many goals at Mathnasium is to help our students not only succeed in math, but also see the beauty of math in the everyday of their lives and apply that knowledge and passion to their own interests and aspirations.

All students begin their Mathnasium journey with a diagnostic assessment that pinpoints what they already know and what they still need to learn.
Our caring, specially trained tutors work with elementary, middle, and high school students of all skill levels looking to learn and master any K-12 math class and topic, including Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus.
Yes, our students can attend Mathnasium at our centre or log into live, face-to-face sessions with their tutor.
Each student is given a diagnostic assessment that pinpoints their strengths, knowledge gaps, and unique goals, so that we can create a personalized learning plan that will put them on the best path to math mastery.
Unlike a math class, Mathnasium teaches to the individual. Our expert instructors provide face-to-face instruction at the right pace for each student.

We work with advanced students to expand their math skills and help them achieve their greatest potential. At Mathnasium, advanced students can explore the topics beyond their school’s math curriculum and receive personalized support to achieve their unique academic goals.
If a student is struggling or simply looking to keep up in their math class, Mathnasium will build upon what they already know, addressing their learning gaps and teaching math in a way that makes sense to them.
Mathnasium provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with an efficient structure that keeps costs low. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership. We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout. Pricing varies by program and geographic area. Contact our center for more details on enrolment packages.
