Michael Stang
Centre Owner/Director
Michael is the Centre Owner and Director at Mathnasium of SW Calgary, alongside his wife Cathy. He brings extensive teaching and leadership experience from both Canadian and international schools, including the Calgary Board of Education and institutions in British Columbia and the UAE. He holds a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Mathematics and an MBA from Strathclyde University in Scotland.
Michael is passionate about helping students overcome challenges in math and build lasting confidence. He believes the Mathnasium Method™ supports both struggling and advanced learners. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking in the Canadian Rockies.
Cathy Stang
Centre Owner/Director
Cathy is the Centre Owner and Director at Mathnasium of SW Calgary. With over 25 years of early years teaching experience, she has worked in Canada and internationally, including time spent teaching British and International curriculums in the Middle East.
Cathy believes every child learns in their own way, and loves using the Mathnasium Method™ to help students develop math proficiency at their own pace. She finds joy in supporting students during their “aha” moments. Outside of work, Cathy enjoys volunteering, going to the gym, and hiking with her husband, Michael.
Paige Stallard
Lead Instructor
Paige is the Lead Instructor at Mathnasium of SW Calgary. She holds Bachelor degrees in both Kinesiology and Commerce from the University of Calgary. Her lifelong love of fitness and math shines through in her energetic, motivational teaching style.
Having grown up debating math problems at the kitchen table with her father, Paige understands the value of persistence and positive encouragement. She enjoys inspiring students to reach their full potential and loves seeing the moment when math finally “clicks.” In her free time, Paige enjoys working out, camping, and traveling.
