Cat Lane
Center Director
Cat has spent nearly 8 years working remotely with schools across the country, focusing on special education. She began her career managing special education services, quickly advancing into leadership roles and overseeing special projects. Based in Tucson, Cat is the proud mother of three children, with her youngest, a 16-year-old son, at home.
In addition to her professional background, Cat has a passion for mathematics education and is excited to bring her skills and experience to Catalina Foothills Mathnasium. Since joining Mathnasium as an instructor in July, Cat has found great fulfillment in directly working with students, helping them build confidence and improve their math skills. Her enthusiasm for tutoring and fostering a love for math is what motivates her every day.
Now, as the new Center Director of Catalina Foothills Mathnasium, Cat is eager to provide quality math tutoring services to students in the Catalina Foothills community, helping them thrive in their mathematics education. Outside of her professional life, Cat enjoys playing and creating music, creating art, hiking, roller skating, playing board games and video games, reading, and spending quality time with her family.
Isaiah "Kwame" A
Instructor
Kwame is a graduate of BASIS Oro Valley and will be attending Pima Community College to study sociology. He loves math and enjoys tutoring students, helping them build confidence and problem-solving skills.
A big sports fan, Kwame enjoys both basketball and football—and he even gives back to the community by coaching a little league football team! He is excited to support students on their math journey and make learning a fun and engaging experience.
Aayan
Instructor
Aayon recently graduated from University High School and will be attending the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University, where he plans to study Computer Science and Business. He’s been interested in math since elementary school and enjoys exploring how it applies to real-world problems and decisions.
Outside of academics, Aayon enjoys playing tennis with friends, spending time with his brothers, and trading stocks and other assets. He brings a relaxed, approachable teaching style that helps students feel at ease while still pushing them to do their best.
Ally
Instructor
Ally is currently a student at Salpointe Catholic High School. She’s always been very comfortable with math and enjoys helping others make sense of it—whether it’s basic addition or high school geometry. Ally is excited to support students as they build confidence and improve their math skills at Mathnasium.
When she’s not at school or doing homework, Ally loves spending time with her friends, going golfing, playing video games, or drawing. She brings a laid-back, creative energy to everything she does and enjoys making math feel a little less stressful and a lot more doable for students.
Mimi
Instructor
Mimi is currently a student at Pima Community College, majoring in Liberal Arts with a focus on Social Services. To her, math is more than just a subject—it’s a universal language used in everyday life across all cultures. Mimi joined the Mathnasium team to help make math more approachable and less intimidating for students. She believes that, like any language, the more you practice math, the more fluent you become. Her approach is rooted in the belief that “to teach is to learn twice,” and she takes pride in supporting students with patience and care.
Outside of school and work, Mimi enjoys watching movies, listening to music, reading, and doing crafts. She also has a passion for learning new languages and loves exploring different cultures through their words and stories.
Olivia
Instructor
Olivia is a graduate of the University of Arizona with a degree in Applied Mathematics and will be starting her Master’s in Data Science this fall, also at U of A. She’s passionate about math and loves helping students feel more confident and excited about learning it.
Outside of academics, Olivia enjoys reading, playing tennis, piano, and video games—she’s a proud Fortnite and Diet Coke enthusiast! She brings energy, focus, and a great sense of fun to every session at Mathnasium.

If a student is struggling or simply looking to keep up in their math class, Mathnasium will build upon what they already know, addressing their learning gaps and teaching math in a way that makes sense to them.
Mathnasium provides premium value by combining a superior learning experience with an efficient structure that keeps costs low. There is a flat enrollment fee for our program, and students attend regularly—much like a gym membership. We recommend that they attend Mathnasium 2-3 times per week as attending less frequently will slow results and attending too often could lead to student burnout. Pricing varies by program and geographic area. Contact our center for more details on enrollment packages.
