The Left-Brain vs. Right-Brain Myth

Mar 11, 2019 | Cave Creek

I'm sure you're familiar with the "left-brained vs. right-brained" myth - the myth that to be a logical or analytical thinker, you have to "left-brained" and that to be creative and a free-thinker, you're "right-brained." The rest of that statement means that to be good at math, you have to be left-brained, or else you're doomed to struggle.

But it's just a myth! Science has proved it false - different hemispheres doesn't mean different thinking. Both hemispheres work together - you can read more about it here!

And make sure you pay close attention to the fact that MATH IS CREATIVE! Being able to visualize a problem in different ways, manipulate it, draw it, and reconceive it, you need creative thinking. Problem solving and critical thinking - it's all about exercising every brain's ability to be creative.
