1. When was your center/re’s grand opening??

A: Mathnasium of Cherry Creek was the first Mathnasium to open in Denver! We opened our doors in early 2011 on a snowy day in February. We were super excited to be able to be part of the Denver community. We had an awesome ribbon cutting with the Denver Chamber a few days after we opened. We were so appreciative of everyone in the neighborhood and other businesses who came out and showed their support. Fun day with lots of food and cake!

2. Of all your employees, who has been with you the longest?

A: Michael. Here's what he has to say: "I have been an instructor at Mathnasium of Cherry Creek for more than 4 years. I graduated from the University of Colorado, Denver Campus with a degree in Math and Economics, and am currently in graduate school with the goal of getting a Master’s Degree in Mathematics. I grew up in this neighborhood and came to work for Mathnasium because I think math is super interesting and very important. I want to help give kids the same level of understanding and fascination I have. The best advice I ever got was that, at some point, math becomes difficult for everyone. Maybe it's at multiplication, maybe it's in algebra or maybe it's differential equations. What's important is not WHEN we reach this point but HOW we react when we do."

3. Who is the owner/director of your center?

A: Allison Shride is the owner of Mathnasium of Cherry Creek. She owns four centers in the Denver Area: Parker, Littleton, Cherry Hills, and Cherry Creek. She has a daughter, a couple of rescue dogs, and loves to travel!

Evan Skog is the center director of Mathnasium of Cherry Creek. He has been working at the location for ~2 years. Evan was raised in Colorado and loves hiking, camping, and the mountains, but has never once been skiing or snowboarding! He is a trained chef and loves cooking and travelling to other countries to try out their authentic cuisines.

4. What local schools does your center serve?

A: Bromwell Elementary, Good Shepherd Catholic School, Denver School of the Arts, East High School, Hill Middle School, International School of Denver, Denver School of Innovation and Design, Polaris, RMSEL, Denver Language School, and Steck Elementary

5. What are parents saying about your center?

A: "My boys have a great math experience with this center. They are responsible and easy to communicate with."

"My daughter always looks forward to going and if she could, she would go even more! I feel this has given her the confidence she needs not only in math, but in all subjects. We’re so happy we found Mathnasium!"

"Our child was struggling the first trimester of 6th grade in math. The transition to middle school, plus lost skills during online learning in 4th-5th grades, was taking its toll. We found Mathnasium in October and have seen quick results in his understanding of the concepts and (most importantly) his confidence level. He has never complained about going, loves the teachers and feels welcomed. He is excited about his grade in Math and we 100% attribute this success to Mathnasium!"

"I wanted to let you know that last fall on MAP Tests (standardized tests), our daughter was like the 27th Percentile in math. Last week, she got 65th Percentile. She was in the 99th Percentile for Growth! That's all Mathnasium. Thank you so much!"
