Q: What makes Mathnasium different from other tutoring centers?
A: We are a Math only learning center. We do not necessarily tutor students in Math, but teach them the skills and techniques needed to fill their learning gaps in Math. Our instructors are all proficient in Math skills and have been taught Mathnasium tips and tricks of the trade for students to succeed.
Q: Why would you encourage parents to consider Mathnasium?
A: Mathnasium teaches the students how to think through and solve problems themselves. We provide tips and tricks that make learning fun and easy, making Math make sense to the students and helping them succeed in Math and other subjects in school.
Q: How often do students get re-assessed?
A: Students are assessed at least every 90 days. After their initial pre-assessment upon enrolling, they are given a "mini" assessment over the first three topics in their learning plan, and then followed with a progress check within those first 90 days. They receive another progress check or a post assessment within the next 90 days. Parents are informed of their progress after each assessment or progress check.
Q: What kinds of math help does your center/re offer?
A: We provide homework help for all students, but do provide learning plans for the high school students and other upper levels of Math. We also provide some private tutoring for high school students in Algebra II, Trig, Pre-Calculus, etc. based upon their needs.
