CCISD elementary report cards do not use traditional letter grades. Instead, teachers score specific state standards on a 1–4 scale:

In 6th grade, CCISD splits math into two primary routes:
Standard Route: Students take 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Math on schedule, starting Algebra 1 in 9th grade.
Accelerated Route: Students cover three years of middle school math in two years and then take High School Algebra 1 in 8th grade.

To earn a high school diploma in Texas, CCISD students must complete four math credits:
