Q1: What has been the biggest change you’ve noticed in your child this year since attending Mathnasium?
Parent: Oh there have been so many changes since we started Mathnasium of Converse five months ago. Her grade has slowly been increasing and she is now passing. This 9-weeks is the first time she has passed a math test. Those low test scores were killing her grades. The biggest change though has been in her confidence. She now willingly brings her homework to the center instead of leaving it in her desk or shoved in the bottom of her backpack.
Q2: What has been your favorite Mathnasium memory or achievement this year?
Student: My favorite memory was from the water balloon fight this summer. At first, I was a little afraid and then I saw Daniel catch my balloon, and he threw it right back at me. I was like game on! I can't wait for next summer.
Q3: What makes you proud to be part of Mathnasium this year?
Instructor: At first, I was just glad that I found a job, but now I realize how much I get back every day. Just yesterday, the center director got a text from a student thanking me specifically for helping her get a 100% on her precalculus final. I never dreamed that I would get to help in that way. I love when a student comes in frustrated with school and I get to help him walk out with a new understanding and confidence. I am so proud to be a part of Mathnasium of Converse and never imagined it would be so rewarding for me.
