Dan studied both math and music at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and has been with Mathnasium of Glen Cove since it opened. His decade of instructional experience and unique perspective help him connect with students through creativity and logic.
He enjoys showing the parallels between math and music, which are both disciplines grounded in precision and patterns. Dan recently earned a master’s degree in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Tessa is has graduated with a BA In Mathematics from the College of the Holy Cross. Some of her favorite math classes throughout the years include algebra II, geometry, modern algebra, and mathematical modeling in biology. She plans to continue her graduate studies in pure math at Lehigh University. As a former Mathnasium student, she understands the value of strong math teaching and support, and works to give kids the same math support she received. She believes all kids can succeed in math if taught correctly. Outside of studying math, Tessa loves to read, explore nature, and spend time with her mom. If you see her, be sure to ask her about her experience as a Mathnasium kid!
