Mathnasium of Glen Mills's personalized algebra tutoring programs are designed to support students at every stage of their math journey.
We guide students through the transition to abstract thinking by building mastery of integers, fractions, order of operations, and introductory variables, all of which are the algebraic reasoning skills essential for Algebra 1 readiness.
Our specially trained tutors work with students on multi-step equations, linear functions, graphing, and word problems using personalized plans that turn this foundational course into a confident launchpad for advanced math.
We help students navigate fast-paced topics: factoring polynomials, quadratics, exponentials, and logarithms to develop advanced problem-solving capabilities critical for Precalculus, standardized tests, and college-prep coursework.
At Mathnasium of Glen Mills, our specially trained math tutors work with students across every stage of algebra, from the foundational concepts of Prealgebra through the advanced topics of Algebra 2, including expressions, equations, functions, graphing, polynomials, and exponential relationships.
Instruction takes place in a caring and fun small-group environment, where tutors use clear, natural language and a step-by-step approach that makes algebra feel logical and even enjoyable for every student.
Our algebra instruction is powered by the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach designed to build deep conceptual understanding rather than surface-level memorization.
Our tutors combine proven interactive techniques with personalized learning plans tailored to each student’s needs and learning style. This makes algebra clear, meaningful, and easier to apply both in class and in real-world situations.
Each student's Mathnasium journey begins with a diagnostic assessment that gives us a precise picture of their current algebra skills, knowledge gaps, and learning goals, allowing us to build a personalized learning plan focused on exactly what they need to progress.
With the plan in place, our tutors deliver targeted, supportive instruction, adapting in real time to the student’s learning style. This approach helps students fill knowledge gaps, strengthen foundational skills, and build lasting confidence as they progress through algebra.

Before anything else, we conduct a free diagnostic assessment with every new student. It gives us a clear picture of where they stand in algebra, what they already know, where the gaps are, and what they are hoping to achieve.
Those insights shape a personalized learning plan designed to make every session purposeful and effective.
At Mathnasium of Glen Mills, we don't rely on a one-size-fits-all curriculum. We use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach that combines personalized learning plans with proven instructional techniques to help students develop true math mastery.
We build on what each student already knows, address foundational gaps, and introduce new algebra concepts in a logical sequence, prioritizing deep understanding over rote memorization.
Absolutely. Many students who struggle in algebra are dealing with gaps in foundational skills that make new concepts feel impossible to grasp. Our tutors work to uncover and address those underlying gaps rather than simply re-teaching recent material.
By rebuilding knowledge from the ground up and presenting algebra in a way that makes sense, we help students catch up and walk into class with renewed confidence.
Yes! We work with students at every level, including those in honors or accelerated algebra courses, students preparing for more advanced math, and those who simply want to go further than the classroom allows.
We also help students strengthen the algebra skills they will need for college entrance exams like the PSAT®, SAT®, and ACT®, and for students with SAT® prep as a specific goal, we build their algebra foundation with the exam math section directly in mind.
Yes. When needed, our tutors can provide homework support during sessions. Rather than simply providing answers, they use those assignments as an opportunity to reinforce what students are learning in school and build the kind of understanding that lets them handle future work independently and with confidence.
Yes. We can align a student's personalized learning plan with Pennsylvania's Core Standards for Mathematics and classroom expectations as needed.
Whether a student is preparing for a chapter quiz, a semester final, the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA), the Algebra I Keystone Exam, or another standardized assessment with algebra content, we make sure they walk in prepared.
We also support students who have gaps in geometry and other math subjects alongside algebra, since foundational gaps in those areas often underlie algebra struggles.
Yes. Students who prefer the flexibility of learning from home can connect with our Glen Mills tutors through live, face-to-face online sessions. Online tutoring follows the same personalized learning plan and delivers the same attentive, real-time support as in-center instruction.
Yes. Our tutors are well-versed in Pennsylvania's Core Standards for Mathematics and understand the academic expectations of local schools throughout the Chadds Ford area.
