Owner & Director
Desiré brings over a decade of experience with Mathnasium to her role as Center Owner and Director. She began her journey as an instructor in 2010 and went on to serve as a center director, contribute to the franchise headquarters, and work on the executive leadership team. Her deep understanding of the Mathnasium Method makes her uniquely qualified to lead and inspire.
Now fulfilling a longtime dream, Desiré is thrilled to be managing her own center and directly impacting students’ lives through math. She’s passionate about fostering confidence and creating an environment where learning truly comes to life.

Sr. Assistant Center Director
Sonali (she/her) is a University of Houston graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a minor in Psychology. Compassionate and determined, she blends her interest in healthcare with her love of education to help students grow academically and emotionally. She’s known for thinking outside the box and creating engaging solutions to challenges.
Her favorite number is 19, tying together her birthday, longtime jersey number, and the 19th letter of the alphabet, “S.” Her favorite math joke? “What is a math teacher’s favorite season? Summer!” Sonali enjoys staying active, running with her club, and studying languages.

Madeleine graduated from Baylor University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. Her academic journey reflects a curiosity about how people think and learn, which directly informs her work at Mathnasium. With experience as both an RA and tutor, she brings empathy, patience, and humor to every lesson.
She teaches through Calculus I and Statistics and loves connecting students to math in creative ways. Her favorite number is 2, and her favorite math joke? “You just increased your sample size? More power to you!” In her free time, she enjoys painting, writing poetry, and practicing Korean and ASL.

Luna is a first-year student at the University of Houston majoring in Biology. She’s studied math through Calculus II and enjoys making math feel less intimidating and more exciting for every student she works with.
She loves being a Mathnasium instructor because she believes that once students get the hang of math, it becomes a fun and empowering challenge. Luna is passionate about helping others experience that same excitement and confidence.

Hamza J. is a sophomore at the University of Houston, where he is a proud member of the NSM and Honors College. He is pursuing a degree in Mathematics with a focus on Data Science. Passionate about education and problem-solving, Hamza currently works as a high school instructor at a math tutoring center, helping students build strong foundations and confidence in mathematics.
Outside of teaching, Hamza enjoys working out and finding beauty in numbers—his favorite being e^(i*pi)+ 1. He also loves sharing math humor, like reminding everyone to "always say sin(q)/\cos(q)."

Caleb M. is a high school age instructor at Mathnasium who first joined as a student before becoming a team member the summer after finishing Algebra 1. Always strong in math and driven to excel, Caleb brings a solid foundation in Algebra, along with a passion for helping others succeed. Having experienced the program as both a student and instructor, he understands how to support and encourage learners at every level. Caleb plans to study computer science in college and values how closely math and computer science go hand-in-hand, especially when it comes to logic, problem-solving, and critical thinking.

We support students in grades K–12 across a wide range of math classes and topics, from early childhood math and early arithmetic to Algebra and Geometry. We also support some college-level students and those preparing for the GED.
