Anneli Cahn Lax

Anneli Cahn Lax was born February 23, 1922, in Poland, and lived in New York as a mathematician, editor, and educator. She also worked as a translator, and helped authors write books about mathematics.

Even though Anneli thought of herself as a slow learner, she was known for reforming math education with a focus on language and listening, instead of rules and memorization.
