At Mathnasium of Keller, we take a long-view approach to exam preparation, focusing on steady math growth rather than cramming before test day.
Every student begins with a diagnostic assessment that helps us identify their current skills and any knowledge gaps. From there, we develop a personalized learning plan that builds math skills consistently, so students aren't starting from scratch before every exam.
Our specially trained tutors work with students across any K–12 math topic, from elementary foundations through Precalculus and beyond, reinforcing what students are learning in school, closing foundational gaps, and developing the problem-solving skills that carry them through quizzes, midterms, and finals alike.
When a major exam is approaching, we can also focus on the specific topics and concepts it will cover.
A significant number of the students we work with in Keller are in middle school, navigating the transition to more demanding high school math, and our tutors are especially experienced at building the foundational confidence that makes that transition smoother.
Yes! Mathnasium of Keller prepares students for the math portions of the STAAR assessment.
Our tutors align instruction with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) to ensure students have a solid grasp of the grade-level concepts they'll encounter on exam day. Through the diagnostic assessment, we identify each student's gaps and build a personalized learning plan targeting the skills they need to meet and exceed grade-level expectations.
As early as possible, especially if they are struggling with math. The STAAR is designed to measure cumulative understanding, which means the most meaningful preparation happens steadily over time, not in the final weeks.
Ideally, students should start working with us at the beginning of the school year or semester. This gives us time to identify and address knowledge gaps, build foundational skills, and ensure steady progress well before the test day.
That said, if your student is closer to the exam, we can still make a meaningful difference. Reach out and we'll put together a focused plan based on the time available.
Yes! Mathnasium of Keller prepares high school students for the math sections of the SAT®, PSAT®, and ACT®.
Our specially trained tutors use proprietary test prep materials and personalized learning plans to build the content knowledge and problem-solving strategies students need to perform their best on test day. Whether your student is sitting for the exam for the first time or working to improve their score, we tailor preparation to where they are and what they're aiming for.
The sweet spot is three to six months out, but families who start earlier consistently see the best results.
College admissions math tests cover a broad range of topics, from algebra and data analysis to geometry and, on the ACT®, trigonometry. Students who begin preparation early have time to close knowledge gaps, build fluency with exam-style problems, and develop the confidence that comes from sustained practice.
For students with significant foundational gaps, starting in middle school or early high school gives them the best possible footing heading into test prep.
If the exam is coming up sooner, contact us and we'll build a focused plan around the time available.
Mathnasium of Keller offers math test prep as part of a flat monthly membership fee. Pricing depends on your student's individual plan and session schedule.
For specific pricing, contact us at (817) 580-7986 or [email protected]. We're happy to walk you through the options and find a plan that fits your student's goals and your family's needs.
Every student is different, so the right number of sessions depends on their current skill level, the exam ahead, and the time available.
We also give special attention to geometry, including proofs and reasoning, which is one of the most common areas where Keller students need focused exam support.
As a general guide, students preparing for a major exam like the SAT®, PSAT®, or ACT® attend two sessions per week over three to six months. For the STAAR or classroom exams, the timeline may be shorter depending on the student's starting point and goals.
After the diagnostic assessment, we'll have a clear picture of your students' needs and can recommend a session schedule that gives them the best chance of success.
Yes! Students can join live, face-to-face online sessions with our specially trained Keller tutors and follow the same personalized learning plan as they would in the center.
No, there is no difference. Both formats deliver the same personalized learning plan, face-to-face instruction, and caring guidance from our tutors. Many families find that a mix of in-center and online sessions works great for staying on track around busy schedules and exam timelines.
Yes. Our tutors are well-versed in the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Mathematics and understand what local Keller schools expect from their students.
