A: They would grab their binder, check in, and complete the 'Number of the Day' warm up!
Q: What does the first session look like for new students?
A: They start off by decorating their binder, get an introduction to the stamps and rewards cabinet, and then get an introduction to Mathnasium material!
Q: Have you seen a student’s attitude towards math change?
A: Completely! One of our students, Hana, was very adamant at the beginning that math was not her thing, and that she'd never excel at it. Over the course of a few months, we've noticed her being more and more excited for her sessions, and her confidence has soared! She loves telling us about what she's working on in school how she helps the other students, and how her grade has jumped so much!
Q: What do you wish students and parents knew before they brought their student to your center?
A: I wish parents knew just how much fun math can be! The rewards system is a huge motivator, and it's nice to have a place where it's okay to not have all the answers.
