Q: What has become easier for you since you started coming to Mathnasium?
A: Lyra says that understanding primes and composites has become much easier for her, and she no longer fears that a challenging math problem is impossible. After learning new fun ways to tackle math, she now feels confident in helping and engaging with her school classmates when working in groups.
Q: What is your favorite Mathnasium Memory?
A: Rylan shared that his favorite memory is when he earned a spin on the prize wheel for completing a Mastery Check, and kept landing on “2 more spins”. He ended up with a total of 7 spins and racked up a ton of stars on his reward cards!
Q: What has been your favorite lesson at Mathnasium?
A: Elise reported that her favorite lesson was when her math assignment was to “Play a Multiplication Game with an Instructor!”. She picked Ms. Kouy and played “Times-table War” specifically for practicing her 11s. They played best of three rounds and she beat Ms. Kouy 2 out of 3 times!
Q: Do you feel different at math class since you’ve been coming to Mathnasium?
A: Jamie expressed that she has really appreciated the 1:1 tutoring she has been getting with her honors calculus homework. She no longer worries if she is not 100% clear on a math topic at school because she knows she can review it with her Mathnasium instructor.
Q: What is the greatest benefit you see in your child after enrolling them at Mathnasium?
A: The Graces have noticed that after a few months, their son’s focus on his math homework and test scores has improved! "He used to make careless mistakes because he worked too quickly and didn’t check his answers before turning it in. Mathnasium has given him the tools to make sense of the math and appreciate that a “perfect page” might take some patience, but then you only have to do the page once!
