Q: Tell us why you enrolled your child at Mathnasium?
A: My child was in 3rd grade and we were having difficulty getting through her math homework on a nightly basis. The teaching methods the teacher in the classroom was using were not something I was familiar with, and it caused lots of confusion, tears and frustration. I was speaking with another parent and they suggested looking into Mathnasium to help us not only with understanding the math assignments, but to boost my child's confidence in her ability to do her math homework independently, and alleviate the stress and frustration at home. My daughter is now in 6th grade, on grade level and consistently receiving good marks on her math assignments, quizzes and tests. Best of all, she approaches challenging math with a can-do-attitude, thanks to Mathnasium always being there to assist us along the way! - Ken N.
Q: What changes have you noticed in your child since enrolling them at Mathnasium?
A: Math is no longer a dreaded topic in our home. My children never complain about coming to their Mathnasium sessions and their grades are showing significant improvement...it is so refreshing! - Erin B.
Q: What difference have you seen in your child’s grades or test scores?
A: When my twins first started at Mathnasium, they were basically two grade levels behind in math, mostly due to the post-Covid fall-out of missing fundamental skills Mathnasium helped fill-in those gaps so that strong math comprehension could be made and then, built upon to make connections with more complex math in their classroom curriculum. Today, my twins are thriving in their math classes and scoring on grade level or above, with their grades and test scores. Q: Did you like doing math homework with your student? Do the instructors at Mathnasium help your child with homework now?
A: The math homework assignments my son receives at the high school level is often beyond my ability to help him. That is why, we are so appreciative of what the Mathnasium instructors provide. Not only do they create an engaging environment to learn the math, but they break down the homework assignments in a way that makes sense for my son, resulting in retention and better grades throughout the school year! - Erica D.
