1. Early intervention is best because math skills build on each other. The further behind your child gets in math the more time, effort and money it will take to catch up. The cost of remediation increases the higher up your child is in school. College remediation is the most expensive.

3. You will get regular reports about their progress so you can effectively communicate with their teachers throughout the year.
4. Kids must learn quickly to keep up. The third to seventh grade curriculum is packed with important concepts that will help your child succeed in high school math and be useful in daily life, and if your child tends to need more time to process and/or understand concepts - they will get behind!
5. Math gaps will fester and cause problems for years.
6. Children often decide that they are “not a math person” and that negative impression may persist for a long time, or even forever.
7. Even the best math teachers rarely have the time and resources to get students caught up who are significantly behind.
8. A low math score on the SAT or ACT and not achieving a high enough level of math in high school will limit your child’s college and scholarship choices.
9. A lack of confidence in one area of life often spills over to create anxiety in other areas.
10. Children feel an immense sense of pride when they start to succeed in math. They will enter school feeling more confident and self-assured. This is especially important as they enter the teen years. Increased confidence in math often motivates them to study harder.
