The sun has far been set for a while, a light snow is drifting down, and the busy streets are quiet in the hours after everyone’s commute home. A few days before a nice couple day break midway through the semester, nearly the weekend, and all that anyone seems to want to do is go home, put on a cozy sweater, get some tea, and relax.
Many people are doing exactly that, but if you look inside of our Mathnasium, you’ll see students all the way from early elementary to high school working and studying. After their long day filled with classes, sports, and clubs; they all grab their backpacks and textbooks and make their way over to Mathnasium ready to learn.
Parents invest their time, money, and energy into enrolling there students and students work extraordinarily hard in coming rain or shine to study math. This incredible commitment is found nationwide, in every student, parent, and center. Why?
When people come to Mathnasium, they come for so much more than to understand how to do their 12’s facts or solve systems of equations. They come to change their future, their confidence, and inevitably their lives.
Mathnasium is about so much more than helping your student increase a grade, for the first time ever for many students, we enable them to feel confident about math. We give them to boost they need to be able to walk into class and walk into test saying to themselves “I’ve so got this!” This newfound confidence in math leaks into every other area of their lives as well. Often we find students not only increase grades and understanding in their math class but other subjects as well. They have a confidence not only in math, but in themselves. Their whole demeanor changes, the student who once sat in the back of the class gazing off having no clue what the teacher was saying, now sits up front, hand raised, burning curiosity inside and excited to learn.
They work hard and what once seemed daunting now seems fun, exciting, and the next challenge they know they can tackle. Mathnasium has helped students reignite the motivation to push deep into their school work. Students are able to feel that they can apply colleges, go to their dream school, and feel that their dream job is now attainable with the newly built sturdy foundation of a math understanding.
