Q: How does your Center/re show festive spirit?
A: We love celebrating the holidays with a decorated tree and wrapped gifts at the front of the center. Our fun days calendar has lots of holiday-themed days such as ugly sweater day, wear your Santa hat, dress in red or green. We are also celebrating the 19 days we are open before Christmas by randomly drawing a student's name each day and giving them a small gift bag.
Q: What’s your favorite holiday tradition?
A: The Mathnasium team loves baking and gift giving. Mary's favorite tradition is baking cookies from her Nana's recipe while Jaydeen loves baking Christmas cookies with her family. Taryn enjoys putting thought into gifts that the recipient would really enjoy and Sara's family usually drives to the mountains on Christmas eve. Katie's family enjoys playing a new board game on Christmas Eve and will eat the delicious pies that she loves to bake. All of our team loves exchanging gifts! Who doesn't enjoy that?
Q: What does your family like to eat during the holidays?
A: Cinnamon rolls on breakfast morning is a great tradition for Sara's family while Mary's family has a sausage and egg casserole for breakfast, followed by ham and corn casserole with roasted veggies, later in the day. Maddie's family has been eating Chinese food on Christmas Eve for years and enjoys their unique tradition. Barb feels like Christmas dinner isn't complete without a freshly baked caramel apple pie! Ben is from New England and his family enjoys lobster tails for their family meal.
