Q: What did you notice about your center/re the first time you came in?

Taryn: The first time I came in, I noticed how calm, warm and welcoming the center was. There can be some crazy moments, but when it comes down to it, the kids are pretty good at knowing that it's time to get to work.

Mary: The first time I walked into the center, it was outside of instruction hours, so it was a calm and quiet atmosphere that promoted focus. The first time I walked in with students, the atmosphere was fun, and promoted authenticity and learning.

Ben: I noticed how well thought out the center was. It was super nice and organized.

Q: What is your favorite memory at your center/re?

Taryn: I don't know if I have a single favorite moment, but I love teasing the kids, and getting it dished right back at me!

Mary: My favorite memories at the center are all of the "aha" moments! I love seeing their faces light up when they start to understand difficult topics.

Ben: I don’t have a favorite memory specifically, but my favorite thing about working here are the many moments where the kids have made me laugh harder than any comedian can.

Q: What’s your favorite part about your center/re?

Allison: There are so many things I love about my center. One of the biggest things is the impact that we have - on students, as well as, families. Students feel better about their math which translates to feeling better about themselves. Families tell me that home time is much less stressful without having to deal with math homework. I also love the community that we have created - both amongst students, as well as, our instructors. Many friendships have been formed as a result of being at Mathnasium.

Q: What time of year is the most fun at your center/re?

Mary: I love summers at Mathnasium because we have more fun and don't have to stress about homework! I also love the STEM activities we add in over summer because they are very engaging for students.

Ben: My favorite season working is winter, because it’s the right time to stay inside, and the kids are in the groove for school.
