Q1: What’s one way your center makes summer learning fun and engaging for students??
A: We do summer Mathnasium bingo and the students love it. They can participate in all sorts of math activities and then when they get a bingo, they get bonus stars!
Q2: What’s a moment this summer that reminded you why you love working with students?
A: When students come in and they know my name or the names of other instructors. I love it because it reminds me how much the kids love being here and having people who want to help them understand math.
Q3: Why do you think summer is such a powerful time for students to build math skills?
A: Summer is a great time because students don't have any homework. This means they can focus on the custom learning plan that we have created for them. Working on these learning plans is great during the summer months because it meets the kids where they're at and builds math skills from there!
