Q1: ๐Ÿ’ก What is the most rewarding part of working with Mathnasium students?

A:
The most rewarding part of working with Mathnasium students is helping students really build a strong foundation for their future learning. Also, creating meaningful connections makes students feel comfortable asking questions.

Q2: ๐Ÿš€ What is one math tip or trick you often share with students?

A:
When learning your multiplication facts up to 12, there are many tricks you can use to help memorize them! For example, 11 times any number 1-9 is that number repeated. Also, for any multiple of 9 up to 90, the digits must add up to 9. My favorite one is for 7x8, 56=7x8 ... 5,6,7,8!

Q3: ๐ŸŽ“ What qualities do you see in students who make the most progress at Mathnasium?

A:
The students I see the most progress in are the ones that come in with a positive attitude and put forth their best effort to stay focused, as well as, ask for help. Progress comes with mistakes and choosing to learn from them.

Q4: ๐Ÿ”ฅ If you could give parents one piece of advice before bringing their child to Mathnasium, what would it be?

A:
Every mathlete makes progress at their own pace! Be patient with the process and encourage a positive attitude around math!

Q5: ๐ŸŽฏ What is your favorite teaching method or tool at Mathnasium?

A:
My favorite teaching tool at Mathnasium is our fraction board. We use the fraction board to help students visualize the different sizes of fractions compared to 1 whole.
