Hello from Mathnasium Spokane South! Today we want to introduce you to one of our previous students, Griffin Satterfield.

Griffin attended Mathnasium Spokane South from Jan 2018 - Dec 2018, Worked there from May 2021 - Current.

Q: Do you remember what brought you into Mathnasium Spokane South for the first time? A: My parents chose Mathnasium for me because it offered a socratic method of teaching. It pushed me to go past basic memorization, but instead it offered me to actually comprehend and understand the concept of Math and how it is applicable.

Q: How did enrolling in Mathnasium affect your academic future? A: Enrolling in Mathnasium affected my academic future by allowing me to apply the Socratic Method of teaching in courses such as Calculus 2. Additionally, it benefitted me in not only mathmatics but other subjects too. It made me ask “Why ?” and allowed me to become more confident as an active learner. Enrolling in Mathnasium has undoubtedly had a major impact on myself in and out of the classroom. It had such an impact on me that I chose to come back and work for Mathnasium!

Q: Do you still use the math you learned at Mathnasium Spokane South today? A: Yes! I use the math that I learn at Mathnasium everyday, considering I work there. Also, I am currently enrolled in AP Calculus BC and I still use the fundamental math skills that Mthnasium has enstilled in me. Mathnasium has been instrumental in my success as a student.

Q: So, where are you now? A: Currently, I am working at Mathnasium. I love working at Mathnasium because it allows me to give back to an institution that gave so much to me, especially my love of math. Also, working at Mathnasium has shown me that Mathnasium values all students. In addition to working at Mathnasium, I am a high school senior planning on going to college!
