Q: What makes Mathnasium different from other tutoring centers?
A: Mathnasium is different from other centers because we create a personalized program for every student. We create custom curriculums for each student based on their current knowledge, sessions can be in-center or online, and our amazing instructors work with students during their session to help them understand the math concepts. In addition to the personalized curriculum, we help students with their schoolwork.
Q: Why would you encourage parents to consider Mathnasium?
A: Mathnasium starts teaching math where your student is comfortable with the subject. We step forward when they are ready, working at their pace and instructing in a way that makes sense to them. Their hard work pays off - literally! - with our prize cabinet and monthly raffles.
Q: How often do students get re-assessed?
A: We conduct progress checks every three months or sooner, if the student is progressing quickly, to make sure that their curriculum is up-to-date. We want to catch any concepts that require more attention and practice. The progress check will also show the students applying concepts we've covered, showing that they understand what they've been working on and are able to apply the new skills. It's amazing when a student takes a progress check and shows so much progress that we can move onto a whole new level!
Q: What kinds of math help does your center/re offer?
A: Mathnasium of Surprise helps students from elementary all the way through Pre-Calculus. We have a SAT prep program and we also help students with their homework.
